Your_Harliquen_Romance arkansasgoatmama I was there during the hippie days, I loved it. Most of you have done a great job with your avi's. Ahhh, it brings back memories, hence my avi's attire. But now for a little history class. Most of you young-uns only think of hippies as free-spirited, free sex, tree hugging, drugged out, hard rock freaks, (which we were) but thats not all we were. Most of us went to anti-war demonstrations, not to demean the soldiers since most of us had brothers, friends or dads that were there, (BOO Jane Fonda) but the senselessness of it. We also supported the civil rights movements and the rights of women, and yes we did burn our bra's!! It was a time of unrest and violence was rampant, cities burned, students shot, cops killed, not to mention the first time the horrors of war were brought right into our living-rooms every night on the news, but most of us just tried to do the best we could, not just for ourselves, but for others. Ok, history class is over. I shall go now to relive my youth and to maybe, perhaps, listen to a little Zeppelin exclaim You guys go have a "groovy" time! PEACE you rock. All that is so true. I'm listening to Stair way to heaven rite now. Stairway to Heaven always makes me cry cry ^ *If you're over 18 & awesome, click the banner!!* ^ |

There's really not too much to it...just an excuse to dress up and post. biggrin There's no prizes or anything (unlike at the prom event)?
