Serei swept a hand through her glass-like tresses, eyes searching the area for others. She seemed to be safe, for the moment, and walked out from under the tree's uneven shadow slowly. She'd returned to Earth from Lepidos some odd time ago to check up on things, and found the sun to be blocked out, while dark beings appeared out of their hiding places to take over. So now, she had to return more frequently than before to keep things in where she used to live safe.
She sighed, knowing that while she wasn't able to speak verbally on Earth, she could at least try and save defenseless humans from a horrid, grueseome death. 'Geez, I'm such a bloody saint,' Serei's mind blandly stated, as her black, leather shoes tapped on an upturned root of the tree she stood beside. She used that tree to go between the two worlds, having only to state the words her mother had told her to, before she'd passed on. The teen appeared to be the only one able to, since everyone else on Lepidos who tried to go through couldn't unless she was in contact with them and was sent with them. Serei looked up at the dark sky. 'What did this to the sun...?' her mind wondered, as she flicked back the light strands that fell onto her lavender eyes. 'I need to find out... and put things right again....' She knew that without the full-power of the sun, the Earth would eventually grow colder and colder, and the plants and trees would eventually die out after a long while. THat would only mean worse things for the Earth, then. She narrowed her eyes, and walked out of the park using the paved pathway, littered with old trash and fallen leaves. I won't return to Lepidos until this is fixed,' she mentally stated, determination beset on her face. As the teen entered the city, she noticed several humans walking cautiously along way stare at her odd features. Serei wasn't so surprised, however, having been raised on Earth before going to her 'home planet.' For one thing, her hair was white as snow. Well, not really... but it appeared to be so, seeing as how each strand was clear like a polar bear's fur was. Also, her heavily lashed eyes were the color of lavender (but one should never call them 'purple,' as she has a bad rap with that). Aside from these, her height also seemed to affect the way she looked. She was just a bit over six feet tall, and easily towered over quite a few humans. And if that wasn't enough, she still dressed the way she did two years ago, when she still stayed, permanently(sort of), on Earth. With her fondness of plaid mini-skirts, knee-high black leather boots decorated with assortments of belts and straps, and her almost-trademark garter belt that held up the one fishnet stocking on her right lef, Serei was only seen as slightly normal with her fellow anti-socials. But, the girl wasn't anti-social by choice, before. For one thing, she can't speak on Earth. Her kind, the Lepidans, can hear and understand -any- language you give them.... but they can only speak their own. Which caused much confusion for Serei when she was growing up. Even if the teen couldn't speak verbally, she was still able to use sign language, and that was what she did when on Earth. It would especially come in handy now.... though, Serei slightly wished she brought a pencil and a notepad, for those illiterate in the language of the hands. |
