Misery cracked his eye open when he heard Aiden's question. He was about to respond until she left. He rolled his eyes and dropped his arm. She came back and he looked at her. He really wasn't all that hungry. He felt her kiss his cheek. He looked at her and brushed his hand over her cheek, keeping his lips shut. He pulled the pocky from her fingers and flicked her forehead playfully. He stuck the pocky in his mouth and let his arms rest behind his head with his eyes closed. He bent his legs, giving whoever wanted to sit room.

Kai snuggled up on the floor, with the stool. Tori munched on the food happily. "It's great, yeah!" she giggled.

Misery smelled breakfast and opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep on the couch. He looked down at his clothes. Oh great. He had fallen asleep on the couch, in his pajama pants Aiden got him for Valentine's day a while back. He groaned and held his head. He had been cleaning and shopping for hours. He even took a shower. If this didn't show his dedication, the girl was retarded.

He sat up and groaned quietly. He held his head. He plopped back down, his arm over his eyes, blocking out any and all light.

Tori smelled food and woke up. "Danna!" she giggled. Kai woke up and looked around. He smelled it too. He sighed and put Tori on his back sleepily. He trudged down stairs, his hair a complete mess. He made it and sat Tori on the stool before collapsing on the floor lazily. "Danna," she whined. Kai groaned.

Misery caught her before she hit the bed. He finished healing her and felt her hand brush against his cheek. He sighed before letting her rest in his bed. Or rather...their?(@_@) He covered her up and looked down at her for a while. With that, he went into Aiden's room, determined on fixing everything. He remembered Tori's room and he stopped midstep. He quietly went to her room and saw the damage from Agony. He sighed and poofed shadow clones to help. Mind as well get started...

Misery looked down at her and glanced away. He picked her up gently and made his way back to base. He honestly didn't know. He held her close and stepped through the doorway. He carried her up to her old room, not ready to go into his room as of yet. It wasn't a rejection thing, but it was more of an uneasiness. He couldn't be around the memories right now. He saw her room completely destroyed and twitched. He shook his head. Back to this? Someone hated him...

He turned around and walked into his room reluctantly, but not showing it in his confident steps. He made it to his door and pushed it open. He set her on his bed and sighed as he knelt in front of her. He took her hand and looked it over, inspecting what had happened. He knuckle was showing and blood was dried around her hand. He remained silent as he started to heal her. Blood was still splattered on his chest and cheek from the recent slaughter. He looked demonic. He concentrated on her wound, his eyes empty and hollow.

Misery stumbled back a bit and regained his footing. He didn't put his arm around her, seeing as how he couldn't as of yet. He still didn't know how to feel. He brought his right hand up and rested it on the top of her head, looking away. He was trying to figure out what to do now. He "had her back" but now what? How was he supposed to feel? Was he supposed to be happy? Go back to the way before? Confused? Misery was confused alright. Way confused.

If Aiden looked at him, she'd see a pensive face. He was so lost in thought. It wasn't that he didn't care for her, but it truly hurt him. Her actions hurt him. It forced him to go back inside his shell. He wasn't the same. He would have to come back out in time. And it would take time. For now, this and any minor gestures would be the only thing she'd get out of him. If she wanted a kiss, she'd have to initiate it. Just for a little while until he knew how to feel again.

Misery clenched his fist and stopped walking. "Kai, back to base," he warned. The Suna man nodded and went back reluctantly. When he was gone, Misery sighed heavily. "I already said I will never hate you. You're not a horrible girlfriend..." he said quietly, but loud enough for her to hear. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms, drawing blood. "I stayed by the trees because you looked like you wanted to be left alone." It was no excuse, but it was all he could say. He found it rather annoying to have to explain himself anyways.

"You are sadly mistaken if you think no one wants you here. You're the only close family she has. Kai is just a bonus. Kai considers you family," he said seriously. "And I......" he said as he hesitated as he came to a sudden realization. He needed her. His fist unclenched and he closed his eyes as he lowered his head. "Enjoy your company," he said quietly. In case she didn't hear him, he said something differet. "I need you," he said, regretting those words as soon as they left his mouth, making him sound weak and vulnerable.

Misery smirked and crossed his arms. "I could have sworn I said 'I love you.' Not 'I hate you.' You broke up with me," he reminded her. "I have never said that I hated you. Never will. You are just being delusional. But if that is what you wish, I will start attempting to hate you," he said quietly. He averted his glance and his expression held sadness and regret. It was visible if anyone were to look at him. He saw her hand. He resisted the urge to worry. But it was damn hard not to. He still cared for her, but he wouldn't push it. "If you want to leave, I won't stop you," he said quietly, a bit of fear in his voice. He didn't want her to leave, but it was her choice. He brushed past her, a small tear landing on her cheek from him. the tear had fallen off the corner of his eye from the force of the wind.

Kai stopped when he saw Misery walk past Aiden. He didn't know what happened, but by the look on Misery's face, it wasn't good. He never saw his leader so upset before.

Kai was about to protest until she jumped out the window. He ran to it and saw her running off. He grit his teeth angrily. "Stupid women." He blinked and stopped mid step when he felt an enraged chakra approaching. His eyes widened. This was not good. He quickly followed after Aiden, fearing for her life right now.

Misery walked through the woods and came out in time to see Aiden running straight for him. He glared until he realized she was trying to run away. He waited for her to come to him and when she did,grabbed her arm angrily. He stopped her and dragged her back with a glare on his face. "When are you going to learn running away doesn't solve anythin?" he said monotonously. He would keep it simple. No strings. No emotion. No hate. No rage. And most importantly, no love.

Ritsuka looked at her with a raised brow. "Yeah. You're Light's cousin.......Shojo, neh?" he asked impassively. He kept walking, almost close to school. He still had the Death Note in his chain wallet, just in case. He yawned quietly as he walked.

Ryuk and Kira watched their humans mingling and smirked. This would be easy

Kai sighed and rolled his eyes. "What the hell is it with emotionally disturbed Akatsuki women?" he sighed. He looked at her. "She's fine. She will live to be a grandmother, and you will live to be a great aunt. And a mother. Pull yourself together. Misery doesn't hate you. I know that's a fact," he said, getting off and kneeling abover her. He scratched his head. "How can I say this..." he sighed, trying to explain guy's perspective of losing a child. He looked down at Aiden. "Misery is confused. He doesn't know what to feel or how to act. Right now, he probably thinks you used him and broke up with him since he failed. This is...from..." he cut it off and sighed, shaking his head. He wouldn't dare say experience, though it was. "He just needs a bit of alone time. But...I don't think you guys breaking up helped any. If anything, he will, or probably already has, gone on a killing spree. He's shocked, Aiden. You guys can't afford to be alone right now. You two need to weigh your options. I can see you still love him. And I know he loves you," he said softly with a small smile. Big brother Kai saves the day. So he thinks.

Misery stood against the tree, shaking involuntarily. Pein rolled his eyes at his emotional brother. "I know you said lock away all emotion, aniki. I tried. But...that girl...she just snaps something. Like Konan did for you..." he said softly as his eyes opened to glare at the tree. "I...I feel...used. Empty-" "Alone, empty, used, desolate, isolated, and completely disoriented." Misery nodded and sighed. "I'm returning to the way I was before. There is nothing more I can do. She wants it this way, and I will not sulk. I have a job to do," he said confidently, trying to convince himself this was true. "Is that convincing you, Misery? It isn't convincing to me. Just stay away from her for a while and monitor how she acts. Switch partners with someone. You can't afford to be around her right now." Misery sighed and shrugged off his brother's hand. "I will not give in," he growled as he made his way back to base. This whole mess was infuriating.
