The problem with reference is that a lot of new artists will just take images they found on DA or google, and will then draw something that's nearly an exact duplicate with minor changes. Doing this can be bad if you don't know where your source material has come from. By duplicating photos that you do not have the rights to, you are infringing on the rights of the person who took that image. With DA's print feature, a lot of artists are then turning around and attempting to sell these works.

Mind you, I think mimicking and duplicating photos is a great way to learn, just if you're doing it for more then just practice, it's time to shoot your own reference or find free-use stock sources so you're not stepping on toes.

(This is for people who are attempting to nearly duplicate images. For those that just look at reference to learn proportions, how things work, how how just a small piece of their image may be drawn better, you can get away with a lot more without stepping on toes and putting yourself on questionable legal ground.)

Is it still possible to sell unwanted items (such as spare tetris blocks and starter clothing) to shopkeepers? I cannot seem to find the option anymore.
