Syakurai blinked - where had the strange aura gone and how had Xarin created it? - before tilting his head slightly, regarding the angel. "I'm afraid I've neglected my duties as your host" he murmured, resting his arms on the back of a sofa. "Is there anything I can get you?" If Xarin planned to stay with him, he would have to go shopping fairly soon; there was a bare minimum of food in his house. As for Taylor...well, the vampire could, after tonight, procure his own prey.

Syakurai tensed, twisting to look at Xarin when he sensed something...well, different, for lack of a better description. Whereas before, Xarin's aura had registered as that of an angel, it appeared to be changing into something neither angelic nor demonic. His own aura rose, an involuntary response, and some part of his mind was vaguely amused by how often he was switching between appearances as his hair lengthened again. His eyes narrowed slightly as he saw what appeared to be a glowing mark on the angel's chest; when coupled with the glowing eyes, only the fact that his pet was still rubbing against Xarin's legs kept him from classifying the angel as a possible threat. "Xarin? Is everything alright?"
The demon slid down from his perch, carefully approaching the angel.

Syakurai shrugged slightly, following Kurai to the kitchen and stopping at the doorway, casually leaning against a wall. He hadn't been expecting any guests, which was clear by the lack of sustenance for Taylor in the refrigerator. "You could always go find a human..." The demon glanced out a window, a flash of lightning illuminating the empty streets. "Though I doubt you'll have much luck." He frowned slightly, glancing over at Xarin and his pet briefly before coming to a decision, however unorthodox (and unpleasant) it was. "You're certainly not feeding off my guest or my pet..."
Syakurai pushed himself off the wall, sitting on the back of a leather couch. "You can feed from me, I suppose, though only enough to sustain yourself tonight."
The leopard purred reassuringly, rubbing against Xarin as its tail swished from side to side, occasionally brushing the angel's leg. The blood-drinker was a friend of his master, it knew, and was no danger (for now).

Syakurai caught both towels, tossing them onto the coat-rack and rolling his eyes when Taylor stuck his tongue out. The vampire hadn't changed at all; he still liked to show off. He twitched when poked and eyed the pile of damp clothing with distaste, toeing it all into one heap. It would (probably) dry out by morning, even if he left it there; though, it would be better if everything was hung out to dry. The demon simply didn't feel like it at the moment. "Since I was dropped off in Japan my first year on Earth" he dryly replied. "After a year, it tends to grow on you." He walked over to the closet as well, squirming until he was before the vampire. "Here. These are the only things I have that aren't yukatas." He pointed out a neatly-folded pile of clothing on the top shelf of the closet.

"Apart from that!" Syakurai wrinkled his nose when some water landed on him, grabbing another towel and using it to dry his hair off. "You're incorrigible. You know what I meant." The demon scowledpouted at Taylor again, dropping the towel into his lap when the vampire fell. He grimaced at the way his clothing clung to his body, turning away from the vampire to grab one of the yukatas (sleeping kimonos) hanging in the closet (and mentally cursing whoever it was that decided to keep the contents of every closet in the house the same). "I did do well on all the intel-gathering exams, you know" he reminded the vampire, unbuttoning his wet shirt with one hand and shimmying out of it, pulling the yukata on before repeating the process with his boots and pants. "You're still clumsy" he teased, holding out a hand to the vampire. "Well, if you're going to be sticking around, you can stay with me. Though, if you try to use my guest for food, you might find yourself on fire again." Syakurai smirked slightly at the vampire, blowing a lock of damp hair from his eyes. "You know I'll do it."

For a moment, the neko stood there, contemplating what he would do now. He was pulled from his thoughts by Jaime's comment and he blinked, ears going back. Roomates. Jaime mentioned that he might have one. While he had nothing against the kitsune or the usagi, he had grown up under rather solitary conditions and a roommate would be somewhat bothersome. Especially at night...
Raphael decided to head to the dorms as well; while he was also in track, he simply didn't feel like running at the moment and he was hardly dressed for it. Still preoccupied with his thoughts, he failed to notice the cell phone lying on the floor of the classroom. His startled reaction to Zephyr's tugging on his tail had displaced it from his pocket.

Syakurai scowled up at Taylor - the vampire was still taller than him - and he swatted the vampire's arm lightly, playfully. "The 'damned cat' is more useful than you" he teased, scowl disappearing when the vampire fingered his wings. The demon shuddered slightly, wings disappearing as his hair returned to its shortened length; his wings were sensitive and while he could control his reaction, it was irritating at times. "...you know I hate it when someone does that" he muttered, pulling off his gloves and stepping back so he was inside his house. There was no point in getting any wetter than he already was, after all.
"Come in already, Taylor. I'm not leaving my door open all night, you know." Syakurai gave a Gallic shrug in response to the question, grabbing a towel from another closet and tossing it to the vampire. "Dry yourself off; you're getting water all over the floor. The higher-ups decided they needed another informant on Earth; you should know why they didn't want me to spend too much time in Hell after what happened with Astaroth." The demon gave Taylor a wry half-smile. "So, here I am. Why are you here?"

Syakurai quirked an eyebrow at the angel's reply but turned, leaving the door open as he took a few steps down the hallway, his eyes easily adjusting to the lack of lighting. He flipped a switch on the wall, turning on the hallway lights, and frowned slightly when he saw that Xarin was still standing there. "There's towels on the top shelf of the closet behind you if you want one" he offered, seeing that the angel was still quite soaked. "You're more than welcome to find a seat."
The demon stiffened slightly, his eyes going blank for a moment as he stretched his senses; something was new, a presence that was vaguely familiar to him. In the living room the leopard got to its feet, ears pricking forward as it padded past Xarin, brushing against the angel's legs, before going down the hallway again. It stopped at the doorway, tail swishing from side to side as its ears flicked to the side and it made a low rumbling sound, not quite a growl but close. Syakurai resisted the urge to sigh - after several weeks of quiet, it seemed that there was a sudden influx of creatures tonight - before giving Xarin what could be termed as an apologetic look. "I'm afraid I still have some business to take care of" he murmured, the fireplace bursting into artificial flames when he brushed his fingers over a switch. "It shouldn't take too long. In the meantime, do sit down and relax, hm?"
The demon turned, quickly walking back down the hallway and stopping in the doorway again, a hand resting on the leopard's head. The feline's ears were to the side and he followed the direction with his eyes, narrowing them slightly in an attempt to see more clearly. "...another one?" Syakurai's eyes flickered again, his hair once again lengthening as his aura flickered before growing stronger, tightly wrapped around himself. Unless he was very much mistaken, it was another dark-oriented creature that he was feeling and- "...a new arrival, too?" The demon released a put-upon sigh;given that he was currently giving an angel shelter, he practically had no choice now. Politics. There was a reason why he disliked them.
"You're hardly the only one" he called, raising his voice so that whoever was standing in the alley would be able to hear him. He took a few steps out into the rain, murmuring to the leopard as he did so. "Go keep Xarin company, hm?" As the leopard padded away, he allowed his own wings to appear, black-feathered appendages wrapped about him before they spread. "Though if you dislike it so much...you're welcome to come in." A darkly amused smile was visible on Syakurai's face as he continued. "Given that we're on the same side, I've no reason to cause harm to you...vampire."

Syakurai blinked at the twin responses - given the tone he had employed, he had expected some form of distaste or hostility - and his hair reverted to its usual - human - state. He twisted, aiming an amused look at Xarin's back upon hearing the angel's comment, before returning his attention to the two light-oriented creatures again. "...it's fine" he finally said, still not quite sure what the angel was apologizing for but not questioning it. "The sudden influx was merely...startling." His lips quirked upwards into a small smile, his words being the closest he would come to explaining the reason behind his somewhat-hostile tone. "I was unaware that my neighbor was an angel" he admitted after a moment's pause. His smile widened slightly, a decidedly unnerving edge in the pleasant action. "One must wonder what other surprises there are, hm? But I digress...it is rude of me to ignore my guest, you see." The demon inclined his head to the two light-oriented creatures, taking a step back so he stood in the doorway to his house.
Inside the house, the leopard padded down the hallway, claws occasionally clicking against the hardwood floor, before turning to the right and entering what resembled a living room. It curled up on the rug before the unlit fireplace, golden eyes bright in the relative darkness of the room, and rested its head on its paws, staring at both the doorway and the leather sofa against the wall nearest to it.

The demon tensed when the newest arrival - a purple-haired light-oriented creature who was not an angel unless they had suddenly developed spell-casting abilities apparently oriented about the elements - cast his spell, his own aura flaring in response. The door to his house swung open slightly, the lock clicking open; the black leopard rubbed against both his and Xarin's legs before padding inside, pushing the door open further with its shoulder. 'You're welcome to go in" he told the angel, eyes fixed on the two light-oriented creatures before the house nearest to his. Unbidden, his eyes flickered momentarily, hair lengthening slightly so that it fell past his shoulders.
"There certainly are plenty of light-oriented creatures wandering the streets tonight" he said, pitching his voice so that the two beings could hear him.
