AH HA!
Then this Clone project is coming along well. o:
Vee will take Clone!Jimmy, Eight can have Clone!Cas,
and I'll deal with the hellion Clone!Misha.
But yes. Burying Clone!Misha in Geekdom
and Fandom will be both ironic and enjoyable.
Plus- I'll have someone to go crazy with. c:<
Mwuhahahaha.
Woot woot~! SoCal.
But yeah, it gets pretty horrid here without A/C.
Our house is old, we only have a furnace.

We have no air conditioning. It's very very arid.

HUGS! http://gaiarch.gaiatools.com/emotes/squishmree.gif
@ Eight-
That could potentially be a problem!
How do we keep Clone!Misha from attempting to over-throw Real!Misha?!
I mean, Clone!Misha could easily blend in and no one would know!
This could be WWIII! BUT. I suggest introducing a young Clone!Misha
to the show Supernatural, as well as many other nerdy things,
such as anime, manga, Sci-fi, comics, RPing, etc,.
I feel that this may take this excess amount of energy and harmful rage,
and turn it into a harmless addiction to war video games
and an odd love for pink haired girls with unnaturally large breasts.

@ Eight;
I'm torn between taking responsibility for the Clone!Jimmy or the Clone!Misha.
See, Clone!Castiel would approve if Clone!Jimmy
lived here, because my Father is an assistant pastor at his church,
so chances are, Clone!Castiel will still have a vessel.
BUT Clone!Misha might like living here because we
have tons of books on the weirdest s**t ever. Crazy math books
from when my Father was attending Cal Tech, history books,
random things we've collected over the years, including
folders full of Chinese Communist propaganda. (which is hilarious, btw)
I don't really want to go to a community college,
because that implies staying here and... I want to go far far away. xD
Someplace cold. Like Canada! Or Ohio. Washington, Rhode Island, etc,.
o: Happy early birthday then!
Mine's the 4th of December.
@ a walking blasphemy;
I only got into Supernatural in July as well.
I was at this art program, and we were talking about our favorite shows,
and someone brought up Supernatural. I thought it sounded neat,
and I remembered seeing the ending half of one episode a long long time ago.
(Turns out it was the end of the 1st season,
where they do the exorcism on Meg for the very first time.)
So then I watched seasons 1-4 in July, bought and watched the 1st season DVDs
the first week of August, and then watched the weekly two episode re-runs of
season 4 on TV. c:
Knife throwing would be handy,
but I don't have any means of learning. Knitting is out as well.
Maybe I'll just work on building the Impala Toaster instead. o 3o

I love the feel of pencil going across paper,
I just love it. I also am totally in love with my markers.
But I am still working on learning to ink and color digitally. Both appeal to me.
I think, however, that I will probably always prefer to sketch things out on paper first.
Just seems natural to me. c:

This is a pretty cliche answer,
but Clamp was probably the biggest reason
I started to take art seriously, as something more than a hobbie.
Card Captor Sakura was pretty much one of the first
mangas I ever read, and I was blown away by their work.
How they started out doing doujinshi and then worked their way up?
Pretty inspiring to a twelve year old girl who loved to draw
but hated everything she created. They made me want to improve.
It was kind of an eye-opener for me too.
Like a "WOW! Art can be that cool and fun and exciting?!
Sign me up that-!" type of deal. c:

Ah, okay.
I still think it'd look better if you didn't blend with your finger, even for the hair.
My reasoning-
When you use your finger to blend, you get a very silky effect.
When I use charcoal, for example, I blend a little bit with my fingers
on say, fabrics, or like in a recent still life, for a silky top hat.
Hair is silky, yes, but it is made up of hundred and hundreds of strands.
Individual pencils marks can bring these strands out
and make more identifiable as hair, not just some flowing surface.
Here's some really awesome tutorials for good hair:

[Part 2]
You should definitely check out this artist's gallery,
there are some amazing examples of detailed portraits.
(Plus, fan art of some of my favorite actors. Eye Candy,
always a plus~)

I'm terrible at hands. Really. Horrid.
But the one thing I do know is- the proportions of the hand.
Put your hand over your face.
It's almost long enough to to reach from chin to the top of the forehead,
(from the bottom of the palm to the tip of the middle finger)
but not wide enough to completely cover the face.
Most people's hands are like that, with the except of people with unusually giant or tiny hands.
I think this is really important to remember, for whatever reason,
lots of people tend to draw the hands super super large.
tl;dr- If the hands are bigger than the face/head, they are probably TOO LARGE.
Unless you're trying to show depth/distance between a hand that is
more foward than the rest of the body, but that gets complicated. xD
Stick to simpler things for now.
