The announcement level is fine...and actually Gaia is forgoing many would be announcements that they would've made and simply posting them in the highlight section of the homepage...

TrjnRabbit Simons Puppy DJ LAZA I understand, and agree that those kinds of goldsinks are good. It's just that if gaia gives out more gold to everyone like this your AFK price will go up because with these voluntarily goldsinks, what if most people decide to keep their gold just like you? The gold will still be there. Basically, more gold in the system means that the price of your quest item will go up no matter how much more you are making to to to even it out. But decreasing the ammount you can earn by the common ways (posting, voting, playing games, etc.) would give those an unfair advantage who can buy GC and sell CS items for their profit. So these people would keep pumping gold in the economy while people who can't buy GC will never have the chance to get one of the lovely old items. True, not only does the CS keep the site running by bringing in a major part of the revenue, but it keeps the Gaian economy in check... |

More gold for posting is the whole point...they tweaked the gold granting...increasing in the areas of the site that encourage social interaction, and cut back in other areas like games, etc.
