"Ah," Yoake breathed. So the ship is completely gone. "Is everyone coping all right?"

The girl nodded in acknowledgement and walked away. So what do I need to know? Yoake thought, looking around the beach and its various occupants. "Um, miss?" she started on coming up on a girl with sand on her clothes. "Will you tell me what happened?... To the ship?"

"Uh, yeah, I don't know what you think, but I'm not a damsel in distress here." A chest-planted kick sent one guard flying, and Talon snatched his gun, using it to swipe the other guards across their heads. The roof faltered, and the bird-girl sprinted toward her new ally. She landed a punch in the ceiling, then shooting the Argego gun at the space between her feet and the boy's. A yellow field appeared around her and her ally as the building collapsed. "It drains powers," Talon said, not sure whether to herself or the other, "but it can sure prove helpful."

The albatross fluttered its wings, about to attempt another escape from Kashi's arm. "Oi, no, don't be scared..." It shot up an inch or so, but the rosette pushed it back down. "Oi, don't be afr-" A girl crashed facefirst a moment away. The wandering albatross let out a cross between a screech and a caw and took off again. "No, get...Back here!" She grabbed its feet and pulled it back down. Kashi walked up to Misaki and sighed. "Oi, you all right? Almost scared off my bird."
