The only features I ignore are VJ, towns and rallies. This is mostly because of the horrible crap you find in those areas. @.@
Towns was nice for a while.... but sadly I don't trust it anymore after the scriptors.
Other than that I make it a point to try as many things as I can.

Aquariums can be an awesome moneymaker, or a big flop, depending on how much work you put into it. Just having a great tank will not do anything, you have to advertise it and get out there in threads, having your own bump if I glow thread will help a lot, also. As far as I can tell the happiness is the same for everyone; just feed your fish daily, maybe change their music if you want and the happiness will slowly rise. if you don't visit and feed your fish at least once a day, it will not glow (something i've noticed with my monster tank).
If they ever put starfish back in the lucky chest, then is the time to buy. I got my first all starfish tank back in june, for about 10-15k each, coming up to a little over 200k, less than just ONE watermeat. before these starfish died, my tank had made me nearly 1 million gold in bootygrab profits. o___o so yes, they can be a great investment if you can manage to whore your fishies booties out enough. ;p
I think thats one of my major problems. XD I've never been good at whoring my tank out.

I like my tank.
Sure my fish haven't earned me back anything I've spent on them but they are fun to play with.
I've recently become rather attached to the ones that scurry across the ground. I'm not sure why but I find them so cute.

I've never had that glitch happen to me.
It's amusing how different the glitches style is. XD You are very detailed and ornate while those avatars are very simple and soft.
