Pretty much, and while I can't prove it, I'm guessing Meyer probably didn't come up with the symbolism for the titles solely on her own. She never used them in her writing, so why just suddenly bring it up for the books? If she was capable of allegory you'd think she would use it in her stories.
Yeah...which is why I said that everything else was BS. And did anyone besides me notice that in every book (I mean every freakin' book!) she would have one of the main characters say the title of that book like twice?

I think you actually were. I noticed it in Twilight, but not the other books.
In New Moon, she mentioned it at the beginning, when Edward leaves Bella. In Eclipse, Jacob says it at the end at the end of the book, and Bella mentions it as well. I think they said it in Breaking Dawn, but I suppose not, since it wouldn't make since.

...The color schemes of the covers were cool, too. neutral

I think that's the only thing that catches anyone's eye!
lol Pretty much, huh? Sad, but true.

@Makoto I thought they were kids in the books, but the way they were shown in the second movie was as if they were Bella's age. You're right, though, Jane was a sadistic little thing. And Alec...(wow)...that guy didn't get much attention, did he? Sad. sad And it's just as I said, people, Stephenie Meyer wasted good paper on focusing on the lame characters and didn't put much effort into the much cooler characters.

And this is the stupid part: Meyer added all these different characters that came in, but the thing is, she introduced them in the LAST book. Seriously, there was like 15+ new characters in Breaking Dawn and most of them were interesting, but they were barely shown!

I'm Ok with the Twilight saga because Jacob,Renesmee,Jane,Alice and Alec are there. But with Edward and the others... I don't like them... emo

Um...Who is Alec? Because I remember vaguely that he was only introduced in Breaking Dawn and had an extremely minor role. And Jane wasn't all that interesting: just the sadistic little girl who loved to torture small animals.

Any thoughts on the Twilight manga coming out soon?

Not a 'manga'; it's a graphic novel with anime-style drawings in them. [/comic purist] Really? People are still talking about that? The damn thing has already been released!
*Shrugs* I knew that, but it's been claimed as a manga (even the other herself said so) so that's why I put it there. I believe it'll be done by some Korean artist (?), so it'll really be a manhwa. (I knew people would react to that.)

Ah, but you gotta think: Does it have the traditional right to left reading style of a manga? Or the stereotypically bursting Sakura blossoms when the heroine sees her dream boy? No, it doesn't. If someone claimed it's a manga, doesn't mattered since it's been marketed as Twilight: The Graphic Novel.

You know...I keep looking at the books forum, and I'm going to have to plead with some of you guys to stop bumping up the Twispam! Once someone tells them that they're a moron for spamming and to go to the Sticky--leave it the Hell alone! Let the damned thread die!

Do you know what works better than everyone reminding the twitard that they have the intelligence level of a fern? Everyone reporting the goddamned thread! Do that! Don't bump the stupid things back to the top of the forum!

Down, girl...You're foaming at the mouth a little...XD

^'tis, 'tisn't it?

I have a question, people: Was there ever a logical explanation for the difference between 'vegetarian' sparklies and the kind that actually goes after their natural prey's eye color difference? Because I see no correlation between diet and eye color (that would mean that any starving person would have a drastic eye-color change).

I've been trying to wrap my brain around it for when I get to Twilight fail compendium and I can't seem to get an answer.

It's just the type of blood they drink. The veggo vampires have golden eyes because they consume animal blood while other ones like the Volturi have blood red eyes because they feed off of humans.

Gross. gonk

Oh yesterday in my health science education class, these three girls who sit at my table were just blabbing about New Moon. They kept mentioning that 'Jacob' (they didn't know Sharkboy's real name) was oh-so-fine and whatnot. I just sat there, reading The Gunslinger and not saying a word like I usually do. I was just itching to put my opinion in, but I decided to keep it to myself.

Is it just me or did they make most of the guy characters in the New Moon movie shirtless just for the sake of fanservice.

Just for the fan service. Ugh...I mean, Rob's bony arse was given air-brushed abs for the sake of fanservice and it looked very grotesque looking in my opinion.

Oh lord. His abs were fake?! XD

Yes. XD And like the guy who played Emmett said that he and Rob personally trained together, but that was bullshit. I mean, it wasn't that hard to figure out they were fake because they didn't look 3D.

I hope this is okay to post this, but...

I kinda liked the series, except for the last book, Breaking Dawn. First off, she went against her own rules for the vampires and gave Edward the "magic juice (something my old teacher called) and impregnated Bella. Then, she wasted over 200 hundred pages on Jacob's part, making us think there was something going to happen, but nothing did. Then (and this is what killed it) we're thinking some war is gonna happen because Bella gave birth to (basically) a half vampire. We see all these characters and read all these cool dialogue (that was wasted, people!) and for what? To see Alice come and save the day from out of freakin' nowhere? Happily ever after my a**!! scream

Oh, you'll love what Meyer said about the non-final battle: She said it was a mental battle between the two opposing forces. I might be paraphrasing since it almost six in the morning here and my memory isn't the best at this time of the morning, but yeah, that's what Meyer said on the Breaking Dawn FAQ.
