Gotta get away
There's no point in thinking about yesterday

Sweet Scent of You
I see you in my dreams but you always disappear before sunrise.
When will the day come that I finally meet you?
You’re always leaving,
but always return before I go to sleep at night.
My dreams stay with me, yet you steal them away.
Taking the memories of you, so I don’t remember your face.
Now you’re back again,
silent dreams all night.
Never remembering your face, but recognizing you.
The sweet scent of you, I breathe it all in.
The sight of you is all I don’t remember.
But I always wait for the night to come,
so I will see you again, but then you disappear all over.
Into the sunrise do you ride.
Leaving me behind, taking my heart as well.

Do you Believe
These tears I cry
are no lie.
Do you believe it now,
that I'm dying inside.
Can't you see,
what you're doing to me.
I'm slowly dying.
Day by day,
another piece of me breaks away.
Nothing can cure me,
so don't even try.
I'm dying inside,
this is no lie.
Look around,
like what you see?
Because you don't see what I have seen.
You will never feel what I have felt.
So now I lay,
myself to sleep.
Crying inside,
can you see it now?

It's too late now,
It won't ever be the same

Edit2::Final Draft with minor editings

EDIT::410 words woo!

Monster

Gently, slowly,
I reach for the pen.
To write these feelings,
Before they slip away.

Swiftly, calmly,
Words of hate fill my page.
Words of the war,
Words of fear.

There is something you must remember.
One thing, the most important one.
Make sure it's worth watching...
This life.

For one day,
It will flash before your eyes.
It will be gone,
Like the lines on this page.

The page where I scribble,
Dreadfully writing the unknown.
Life, love, pain, joy.
Just some things my hand writes down.

Angst.
This one comes rarely.
It is like dark chocolate.
Unsweetened, not warning you of its taste.

Angst is my unsweetened dark chocolate,
Poetry is my relief.
These words fill my page,
Of how this world has gone corrupt.

This war will never come to an end,
We’ll just keep fighting,
Until there is no one left.
Not one thing is left once the war comes.

This eternal battle,
Fighting to be released.
Yet, it is restrained.
This is where the angst comes.

It comes from deep within your soul.
Hidden, waiting to attack its prey.
Angst is a dirty secret,
Make sure you keep it hidden in the midst.

One of these days, you might just snap.
That beast, hidden inside you,
Waiting to snap at you with its mighty jaws,
It doesn’t care if you’re scared…so be afraid.

Angst…
It can be such a scary thing,
Knowing that a monster lives within you,
And that you never know when it will come out.

So you write down these words.
These words filled with pain,
Every single thought you’ve ever thought.
Small drips of blood, dripping onto each page.

Delicately, softly, they rest.
Quietly, a wrist lies beside those words.
Carved into each cell, lays the words,
“It lies deep within your soul. Eating away…’til there’s nothing left.”

These secrets that are kept hidden,
Feed the beast, every time it hungers,
It grabs a hold of those secrets,
And attacks it like a snack.

It wants you to break, it wants the satisfaction…
Of another kill.
So then, it might pass to another helpless soul.
Forced to await its fate.

No one knows what happens when you reveal it...
No one knows where this angst comes from.
There is only one reason,
No one is able to survive this appetite of this ogre.

Make sure you show no fear,
Don’t give in to your pain,
And never, ever…
Feed your pet.
