Types of Tablets, which is good and which is great??? Go to post 25 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:26 am
Own a mouse, tablet, -AND- tablet PC. Seriously... a tablet PC is the best. I'm surprised how many people don't know, or like to talk about them. stressed
Tablets help? Go to post 7 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:23 am
Save up for a tablet PC instead. Really, it's better than both a normal table and mouse. Trust me, I've used them all. eek

Your art ...over the years Go to post 108 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:21 am
It depends. I keep digital copies, but I throw out my old sketchbooks. Back then my drawings were more natural, even though the proportions were whacked, and several other things. Now I think too hard and my pictures are looking more stiff and unemotional. I really wish I could get the feeling back into my pictures. I have come a long way... but... still... cry
How much time did you spend on the longest piece of artwork? Go to post 58 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:19 am
14hours... never again.

Now my works usually take anywhere from 5-8 usually.
(not straight, I work on them when I can)
Getting Rid Of White! Go to post 7 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:17 am
When I color a pencil drawing in Photoshop I usually just duplicate the background to a new layer, delete the original background, set the copied layer to multiply, then make new layers underneath it. One usually white, one a greyish green (to help see the colors) and then layers for each individual part of coloring. Usually something like "Hair, eyes, shirt, etc..."

.... If that made any sense. sweatdrop

You can't save images in the trial version after the time runs out.

Did you have a trial version?
People who appreciate art vs. those who don't... Go to post 57 Art Discussion Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:11 am
Caring about art and art supplies are different. The classmates I had didn't care about the supplies at all, but they could still appreciate things that were visually pleasing.

Hell... I really want Copic Markers, but it costs $70.00 USD for a box of 12! 12! scream Wtf?! I don't care if they're awesome, that is just so not in my budget. I'll probably give in and get them when I get cash, but there's that whole problem of -getting- the cash.

... Back on topic... sweatdrop People can't tell the difference between art supplies unless they use them a lot. You can't really expect your classmate to understand unless they -have- used the different types of pencils, and used them a lot.

I press hard with my Prismacolors, but that's because I like the thick waxey look after I'm done. It looks smooth. lol I don't care if it's "wasting" a dollar. It's not wasting to me, it's how I want to use them. Why pay for them if I'm just going to brush so lightly I can barely see it so I don't wear them down?
