What makes you want to kill small puppies? Go to post 34 Art Discussion Thu Mar 20, 2008 5:25 am
No killing puppies, please! crying

The only thing that makes me angry about art, is that I'm so darn slow! It takes me 15+ hours for something that takes others 5 hours. gonk I have no idea how they do it. crying

"Sure, my kid'll draw you a picture!" Go to post 57 Art Discussion Thu Mar 13, 2008 5:50 am
When I was still living with my mother, and going to school, it happened to me too. I got suckered into doing stuff for the family, and I got suckered at school for doing stuff for students, teachers, and even the principle. I'm glad I'm in the business now, and out of those kind of situations. It sucked.

I love DeviantART. I've tried three other art communities, but they just didn't have the ease of use, or the community, that I felt comfortable in.
i need help! my drawings need to be more alive! Go to post 6 Art Discussion Thu Mar 06, 2008 6:09 am
I totally understand what you mean. It's like that wall, you know you need to pass. You know something is wrong, but you don't know how to fix it! I just broke over a wall like that, but have hit another one with coloring. All I did to break it was take a brief one month break from art completely. I didn't draw, didn't color, nothing. Just worked, watched TV, or played some video games. It was a nice break, and when I came back, it just somehow came to me! heart

I suggest a break first, and then practice after. biggrin Push your limits, and try drawing stuff you've never tried to draw before! Like... a person bending backwards or something else weird like that. It will help understand the human body, and help with liveliness.
How would you feel Go to post 32 Art Discussion Thu Mar 06, 2008 6:06 am
I usually took things like that with a grain of salt. It's just like an "Oh" situation. Sure it's probably cool for your friend, but you're not your friend. I usually think of myself, so something like that would be a "That's cool for you. Congrats" but I wouldn't care much, since it wouldn't be happening to me. sweatdrop
