My best friend's mom taught me the most basic crochet stitch, and the rest I picked up from books and the internet. 3nodding I've always been good with my hands when it comes to making things, so maybe that helped? I dunno. sweatdrop I'm okay at video games (it took me FOREVER to get the hang of Twilight Princess, though. I think I hit myself with the Wiimote a few dozen times first, lol!) and pretty good at DDR

I think it's that crochet has the bad rep of only being used to make scratchy, ugly 70s afghans or big, boxy sweaters. The yarn industry and patterns really don't help because a lot of the time that's what's shown in crochet books and on the yarn packaging. And don't even try to look for striped yarn that works for crochet- they're designed for knitting, so the stripes never line up right. xp It's just ridiculous because I've seem amazing things made with a crochet hook, and not all crocheters use only ugly colored acrylic yarns. I use acrylic sometimes, but those pattern book makers don't seem to realize that crocheters love wool, bamboo, silk, alpaca, etc just as much as knitters. I guess the one really good reputation that crochet has is that you can make awesome amigurumi with it, whereas there aren't as many knitted dolls and animals.

I've never tried knitting so I can't say if crochet is really easier or not, but from where I am crochet definitely looks easier since I wouldn't have a clue how to knit, lol.

Nenya, I think it's supposed to be a silkworm? Since it's supposed to be silk? It does look spidery, though, which is why I wasn't sure if I wanted it to begin with, either. xd

Oh my gosh, the Classilke evolved some crocheted poses! Gaia, I love you! heart So often crochet gets the backseat to knitting that it's always AWESOME when I can find something cool that's crochet-related rather than knitting. Now if it'll evolve next time into the option to hold a crochet hook (I *think* that's what the shoulder pose is now- the silkworm is holding a hook), I'll be even more in love. whee

At least I never have to worry about anyone dressing the same way I do, what with being half a horse and all. xd

I'm hoping my fiancé comes over this weekend because I need him to do the games for me. I made him do the Gaia dancing games last time. xd
