I don't have many in-person friends, either- just my Dungeons and Dragons group, really. Which consists of my fiancé, my best friend and a bunch of people related to her (her cousin, her mom, her sister, and her boyfriend), and one other friend.

I'll talk to a couple of people I was friends with in high school via the internet, but really, those aforementioned ones are the only ones I hang out with. Needless to say, I'm thankful for my BL friends and my friends from my art groups. xd

Yeah, Alantie- I think that people of our parents' generation just don't understand how the internet can be a social interaction. I have some really good friends that I've never met in person, but consider far more close to me than most people I've "met". Heck, I met two of my best friends over the internet (although I have hung out with them in person by this point). I guess it's because our parents didn't grow up with the internet (I was even the border generation since I didn't use it until high school, and even then my parents didn't get their own internet connection until I was in 10th or 11th grade), so they don't know what it's really like to interact with people through text. My mom still only uses the internet to talk to people she actually knows in person.

Honestly, I think we're the lucky generation because we have a *much* larger pool of people to befriend, and not just the people we went to school or work with, like older people did.

My mom gives me lots of grief for being on my computer all day. She doesn't seem to understand that this is my job- she thinks that because I don't sell much that it's just a hobby. xp Yeah, I may not make much money through my art (I think last month I sold four things- that was a record for me), but if I don't network and keep listing it, I'm certainly not going to get any money and not have any kind of income. Sheesh.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we don't hate you, Tyuruwing, unless I missed something, which is always possible. I'm rather oblivious. wink And your avatar looks pretty good. 3nodding
