Bleach or Naruto Go to post 117 Recycle Bin Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:40 pm
Well, considering that with Naruto I've watched about 300 episodes and read the second half of the manga and with Bleach I've watched about 50 episodes and found it to dull to go back to I'd have to say Naruto is better.
Death Note, What would u do w/ one? Go to post 81 Recycle Bin Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:39 pm
I'm all for Death Note and wondering if people would actually have the ability to use it but seriously, this question has been posted at least once a week for the past two months.
Some say they would use it, others say they won't. Most don't give reasons why so I don't even see the point for the threads.

I, personally, would use the Death Note. If possible I'd use it in the same manner as Light. Though without the connections that he had I doubt I could do much on a large scale like he did. Still I'd love to have one.
Cosplay advice Go to post 6 Anime/Manga/Comics Sun Jan 13, 2008 11:35 am
Well, for starters there is a Cosplay/Conventions subforum for this type of thing.

As for you question though, there are a few ways to go about making armor without using metal. These are two ways I know of.
The most popular method you'll see is to use cardboard. You cut it and form it to the right shape and force it to hold with glue (don't use tape, tape doesn't paint well at all.)
Be sure to put a base coat of white, it'll make the color more pure and you should sand it down when it dries so you keep a smooth surface.
Then you can use a metalic paint. If you choose to use spray paint, as they are time effecient and easier to get in larger amounts, be sure to have a brush handy to smooth it out. If you can find it use regular paint, it a bit more work but you end up with a much more even coat.

There's also a product called Wonderflex. It's a relatively cheap woven, plastic like, material that can be manipulated to just about any shape when heated. I have yet to work out a good method to heating and shaping but boiling water seems to be the best way to get it to it's manipulative form. You'll have but a matter of moments to work with it as it cools rather rapidly so it may take a few tries to get it and you should always wear gloves to avoid burning your hands.
Since it's woven, it's lumpy so it demands a base coat before painting. So follow the paint instructions above for this stuff too.

So those are my suggestions. Hope they help. *shrug*

Yaoi or Yuri? Go to post 21 Recycle Bin Wed Jan 09, 2008 5:47 pm

OTRFKs The Lonely Ring Finger- Boys Love Novel

You do know that's only the first of three avalible novels right? ^.^ (Personally the second novel is my favorite)

Yaoi would have to be my choice. Though I tend to favor Boys Love because they actually put thought into the plot on those. To each there own, really.
