stare I'm really behind on being ready though. I have a lot of modifications to do to my Kohaku costume, I need to fix my Sakura shoes, and I have to finish/fix 2 costumes for other people.
This means you should really start watching the Detour homepage for updates since there's a chance they could days old by the time I get them up here. (Though feel free to post 'em up yourselves!)
Hopefully this isn't my last post before the con, but just incase: Let's get ready to Detour!! *happy dance*

Anyone know if there's a Gaia themed event (like a meet-up or what not) that someone has planned? (and I with my lack of internet time haven't heard about)

And just a note for those looking that haven't registered yet: 2 DAYS LEFT to pre-reg. And reg is at 92% FULL.
(My thoughts: At this rate reg will probably be full when this, final, pre-reg deadline is hit, which would mean no at the door registration)

Between Rangers and Skirts?

Risembool Rangers - A fan group that is dedicated to Vic Mignogna (and Edward Elric).

Miniskirt Army - A fan group that is dedicated to Travis Willingham (and Roy Mustang).

I don't find it that unusual. I'd probably be the same way if I had wigs for some of my other cosplays (I just started to use wigs since the characters I play are so diverse in style, length, and color).

Can't say I ever really clicked on that kind of a level and that's what started my love for them... I liked Roy because he had dark hair and wore blue. And I thought 'that's someone I'd like to cosplay'. ^^; As the series progressed I came to respect his personality and decissions but it all started with thoughts of cosplay.

Horray! Someone other then the people I'm personally 'draging' with me or hosting with! It should be fun... that's what we're hoping anyway... ^^;
We'll probably introduce ourselves at the start of the panel. I'll either call myself Cole(which is what my tag will say, short for Nicole) or Kaorion or both.

eek Wow... that's a lot of cosplay... I've heard rumors of people who change 2 or 3 times a day but I've never actually heard, first hand, of anyone doing it till now. That's pretty awesome that you have enough to do that.

A Ranger, huh? I'm a Skirt. That makes us mortal enemies! (Kidding!) So far all the Rangers I've met were great. And technically I'm a Ranger (the MSA didn't exsist when I enlisted). I just love Roy more then Ed. ^.^
And hey, that just means there's a chance I'll see you at the RRvMSA panel. And that's always a good thing. ^.^ I'm one of the MSA hosts.

Oh, that sucks. Hopefully it's for the better good though and you get an even better artist to do it. ^.^

Money sounds like a likely suspect but maybe they just couldn't book a hotel for '09. Good to hear they're still giving it a go for 2010 though.

All that and no Man-Faye? If you're going to go with old school pictures be sure to get all the cliches.

Side note: The Death Note rocks. It is in no way one of the worst ever.

It's possible. There's a lot of variables that will determine the final answer but with about a couple months, give or take, it could be done in time.


I did hear, actually I noticed it on Cosplay.com's planner. I never did look into why it got cancelled though.
