God forbid they choose to change the event and some members can't handle that.
So far it seems that they're not doing their usual egg collecting thing. So what. "Tradition" just doesn't cut it. It's not a "tradition" just because they've used the same event a few years in a row.

There are others who went too and they all heard the same thing this guy did.
Lanzer could have meant a free item/evolution and he calls that an event, while DJ doesn't consider it an event. There is just a misunderstanding between the meaning is all. And we will find out eventually anyway, then either Gaia will get pissed or happy.

There's NO WAY gaia would decide whether a major event on gaia happens or not on the opinion of 300 people over its whole userbase.

I think most of the reasonable people here have agreed that it depends on your definition of an "event". We got and item and something is going to change and happen with it -- that in itself is an event DJ obviously didn't consider it to be a real "event" though, or maybe was just misinterpreted. Who knows.

Unfortunately, I can't hand down all the Panel videos for all of you to see until my friend decides to upload them, I can't control her so it might be a while.

I'm just reporting what I was told directly at yesterday's Panel.

It's not my decision if there is an event or not. All I know is that I was told there isn't going to be an event and WHY there isn't going to be an event.

if there is one, than about 300 people were lied to yesterday, and I'm going to doubt that.


The whole thing is probably just that Lanzer considers this egg-timebomb thing to be an event, and DJ doesn't, is all.
Is it an event? Is it not an event? Who cares, at least they did something at all for it. They've been skimping on all the holiday events lately, I was surprised they didn't just go for a "click here to get a free bani/chicki item!".

I can see your so wrapped up in the battle system and overwhelmed by what you've experienced at your Boston panel, but I want the battle system but I can wait so we can get some of the traditional things on Gaia. Like the event maybe?

Your very quick to end excitement this easter, yes your previous topic has me really happy with the progress but the BS isn't coming out this exact day is it. Today IS Easter which has had some sort of importance since 2004 for Gaia. I don't think this Easter will suck as bad as last year.


Truthfully, I hope I get to laugh in your face about 3pm EST, I think were in the same time zone. :/


The whole thing probably depends on your definition of "event". The egg is obviously a free item, and when it hits 14.00 on Gaia, whatever timezone they're in, something will no doubt happen, and we'll probably end up with a different item out of it, or something. We won't know about any of that until it happens, but it could be viewed as "just" a free item. However, depending on what happens, the whole thing could be considered an event, if not just for the whole waiting and seeing what happens with the egg.

I do doubt there'll be something bigger than that, though, like Gaia used to do. They've been skimping on all holiday "events" lately.

Too bad the Battle System will run on a whole BUNCH of new servers. Why do you think the Cash Cards were put out? To pay for those new servers.

Also, back when gaia announced a battle system, they didn't have the funds to actually create one, now they do, and they're coming along GREATLY in it, the music is spectacular, it's ORCHESTRATED. I know way mroe about the Battle System than you do, and it will be a great game.

As much as you just sound like an overzealous g-tard, I hope you're right. All the money they've been raking in better be going to SOMETHING, what with the merchandise, pushing the cash cards by making items you can only get by buying them, not to mention the addition of the cash shop, and making monthly collectibles with outfit pieces so that you need to buy two or three to get the whole thing.
