If you're new and curious what's going on, here's a recap from Exipotic: exipotic The Post-Creation Mutation Lunacy! Darlings and deers, pretties and poodles, lovelies and lilies~! As summer winds down and prettypretty autumn is upon us, so too come mysteeeerious changes for some of our Hiccups.. And no I don't mean puberty, not yet, anyway!! gonk No, something much more mystical is going on here! <3 As my little creations are made through the spirit of the elements, of the seasons and the earth and just a pinch of my alien touch, it's to be expected that just a little bit of the moon gets to have its say in the matter, too! So in a bizarre lunar based incident spanning brief days for some, and many moons for others, what I've come to call the Post-Creation Mutation, PCM, is taking effect. Why now? And will it strike again?! I'm, as always, clueless! I just do my little deviations for fun, I don't actually know what I'm doing, teehee~! What does this mean for your Hiccup? - The mutation will be something not drastic, but certainly noticeable. It will actually only be something changing that is physical, and will not at all affect the personality of your Hiccup! - Think of this as an echo effect of your Hiccup's original mutation. Either the spirit or the vessel is the more dominant of factors - for some, it's pretty obvious which one [ie. Sid!] while others it's fairly difficult to see where one influence might start or end [ie. Aaron]. One of the factors will have a sort of sentient influence over the Hiccup's physical appearance, and something will change. Will they grow a tail? Will their hair change texture or colour? Will they develop a slight lisp due to an enlarged tongue? Will their previously pointed nose round out to resemble what the spirit's true form's nose might have looked like, instead? It's up to you! How do I participate? Do I have to participate? - This is a voluntary event! It is set up to accommodate your wishes! Since I don't allow for completely drastic changes in growths, unless they're really warranted and supported through RP, this sporadic event allows for you to earn a physical feature you've been itching to see on your Hiccup. And if you've never thought about making a change, then it'd be fun to take advantage of this anyhow! If you don't want to, then that's cool by me! - To participate, first express interest. I dun wanna be eagerly waiting around the journals with a silly excited grin on my face, only to have the due date come and no one entered, ):. Sure, I'll be sad if no one wants to participate, but at least I'll get over it and move on faster, ;D. - Second, write solo entries! Please write at least two entries, and they should probably surpass 500 words in length. Not that I'm going to really be picky about it, but I just don't want a halfassed spit take at a horn growing out of a kid's forehead and them going, "Well, that's new." and walking out of the bathroom without another thought. Boooo. I will not reward you the new deformity that way! </3 - These solo entries are, sorry to say, separate from the requirements needed to grow your Hiccup. [Since this is technically a side quest, and all the writing is for is to earn you the physical change.] They do not count toward growths, but certainly the new mutation does! *Remember* to include this mutation in with your growth form, when you do finish the requirements and send it in! So, to recap! - Moon making mutations, lol creation echo. - Choose a dominant side and legitimately choose a new trait from that side to appear! - Write at least two entries explaining how the mutation takes place, if it's painful, if it's awkward to get used to, if they think it's totally rad, if it'll gain them even MORE weird looks from other kids, etc. etc. - Finish before the deadline! - The new mutation will take effect IC immediately, but art adjustments accommodating this new anomaly will only be drawn, officially, in their new art stage. And you MUST remind me of them when you submit your growth form!! The lunar influence ceases on the 6th of August, as soon as the sun rises in EST that morning! Bye bye moon, bye bye PCM! |
