Arcane Epiphany To say someone is "better" than you just because they outshine you in one quality seems a bit much. I agree that someone who has more gold than someone else could be considered "better" in that respect, but what if they are a more polite and articulate person than the person with more gold? With one characteristic, the answer is obvious and straightforward, but when one takes multiple variables into account, the answer can be less clear cut and more subjective. [ ♥♥♥] Agreed.
Having a lot of fangirls/boys, gold, or years won't make you better than someone if you have a crappy attitude. That'll come to bite ya on the butt eventually.

[♥♥♥] I don't see how your reasons are examples of users being better.
Oldbies who have everything tend to lose interest in a lot of the main points of Gaia. They lost that wide-eyed wonder they had when they joined. But guess who got it now? Newbies of today. Some would say the newbies are better off, others would say the oldbies.
For users with millions, they tend to hoard to still keep that magic of Gaia. But who gets more joy out of obtaining that item? The user worth millions who can just buy it whenever or the user worth 20k who spent months questing for that item?
And I'm not gonna start on popularity....ugh.
I mean, one user can have a list of reasons why they think they're "better than you" but also have a list of reasons of why they're not. So, maybe there is no in-between, but it isn't so black and white either.

What I'd do is watch the PM and try to buy it when it deflated don't know by how much.
So, if you decide to sell it later, you'd make some profit and that could help your quest still.

And I think that sentence made sense.
Being popular or memorable means I have to keep up doing whatever I'm doing to maintain that status. That's when I stop being me and become some dancing monkey for the GCD audience.

Otherwise, unless the topic is heavily debated or drama-ful, I don't read most of the posts in them.
