Yen chewed on a piece of meat as she listened to the others talk about the caravan that the three of them were going to try and catch. This information caused a question to bubble up in the midst of her troubled thoughts. She popped it quickly, wanting to present the question at a later time when they weren't so out in the public.
When Kenrou said her name Yen turned to look at him and listened to what he said. His words were familiar enough to the point that she was certain that she'd already learned the information that he was giving her. Mostly likely in class and from her peers. People from everywhere went to take up their schooling in Roston, so long as they had the money to pay for the trip and the education. Her attention to switched to Gabriel which caused the apprehension she'd been smoothing down to rumble up again. She hid her anxiety by drinking more water. She set the large cup down carefully and continued to pick more food off of her plate. She tilted her head and frowned as she thought on his following words. 'Bothersome...' she thought to herself as her eyes unfocused in thought. "Vi, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Ian asked with a bit of a mischevious chuckle. The corner of Yen's lips only curled gently upward in a nonverbal response. "Heheh, I wonder if it would work?" "May as well give it a try. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work." She physically shrugged as she ate the last thing on her plate and proceeded to slowly empty her glass. Once it was empty she set it down and sighed through her nostrils. She checked to be sure that her fingers were cleaned before running them through her hair. "I don't know about you two but I could do a thing or two to alter my appearance without using any magic." She looked down at a lock of hair that was wrapped around one of her fingers before pulling her hand out of her hair and setting it down on her lap. "So long as we don't do anything too out of the ordinary magic-wise we should be alright. It's hard for me to hide my magic because of the spirits that follow me around but I could put off using it if needed." |
