AnYwAyZ what I wanted to tell you guys is that I made a Club on MyAnimeList.net for AMA for anyone up here that has one and wants to join. If you don't have one get one ^__^ then make me your friend. I also made a Nekocon club for those who attend that as well. If you are interested/want/have asian ball jointed dolls or dollfies I am working on setting up a doll meet during AMA. Details are in my AMA thread on DenOfAngels. . . . . .Oh no, I think momz ish calling for me. I've gotta get back to making Super Dollfie clothes for the DemiDesignz Booth before she tries to skin me. Peace. There's a slightly rushed post a few pages back about my how Momz feels about cons, I'll find it in a sec but wanted to get this written down before i forget what i wanna say. I get it when "normies" say that Japanese anime is comparable to American cartoons. It isn't always because of ignorance or unwillingness to like different things, the media, as in most things, has a large roll. Cartoon Network's [Adult Swim] and Toonami most/oftentimes play what I like to call "Starter Anime". Anime that you can watch leisurely, miss a few episodes and it won't matter, lots of fillers, kids/teen main characters, funny/happy-go-lucky, nonsensical or non thinking required, brightly animated stuff. You all know what I'm talking about. It might even be what got you into the Japanese culture. a "Starter Anime" your first anime, different art style, same silliness. Pokemon, Bobobo bo bobo, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Tenchi, Hamtaro, Dragonball Z, Bleach (has deep themes but are easy to over look by a n00b), Digimon, FLCL, Dual Masters, Cardcaptors, Zatch Bell, (just about all saturday morning anime)...etc....most of you will get my point. >that list was not ment to offend< Parents/Older Persons tend to look at that and see the kid side of it and pass it off as another cartoon (pfft) not knowing that there is an encyclopedia sized list of anime who's subject and theme would make their head spin from over thinking, mind boggling, pulp quickening, sheer confusion of impracticality. Anime directed at the mature crowd (no not hentai/yaoi/yuri/tentacle). The type that keep the mind active, not shut it down. >There was more I wanted to say but the friends called and it threw me off. I hope you guys get where I was going with that.< |
