How do you publish a book of poems? Go to post 7 Recycle Bin Thu Jun 18, 2009 8:58 am
I believe that there is a sticky that will help you out. Try going there.

The format is kind of funky. It's like you pressed the tab key after almost every sentence. Also if this is going to be the beginning of your story, you'll have to spice it up. For some reason the way you wrote it seems as if the climax already happened. The whole thing already seems like 'the tragic end'.

It's okay random crazy guy who clearly doesn't belong in the writers forum. I get what you mean.

Endings Go to post 8 Writers Thu Jun 18, 2009 8:12 am
I enjoy endings of many different types. It all depends on how well the story's contents themselves are written.

A Nightmare of Eden
I already explained this, but apparently some people have issues. I get it, no one can read, let me spell it out:
Quote:

"Games" are threads which are structured primarily around a "gimmick" or rules. This may include things such as "Answer a question and make a question for the next user", "Round Robin" story creation threads, or threads which are based around a structured cycle of user input. Games can also include "What would your MC/Villian/Etc do/say/think/etc.?" threads. Game threads are not allowed in the Writers forum because they rarely generate discussion or help people developing their writing skills.

By the very definition of game thread, the Anti-Guide is one. Yet obviously it isn't: it generates discussion. And obviously this isn't: it helps people develop writing skills. How hard is that?

If I wanted people to post about it, I'd have asked. By the way, nice mule Maj. Reported.

I realize you wished for people not to make comments A Nightmare of Eden, but I simply cannot resist. Your explanation made clear sense to me therefore I posted . This is merely a thread that helps improves ones writing skills. Using words from the previous entry allows the writer to stimulate their creativity. Again, if you feel that this comment is inappropriate feel free to delete it. I came here to write, not to argue with people.

Moving away really did suck. It involved the leaving of friends and brought on worries of being the new kid at another school. Not to mention the unrelenting stress of finding a new home. Hence the reason why the little girl was marching idly behind her parents as they were checking out yet another potential house. The little girl gave the real estate agent beside her a hesitant look. She found that she very much did not like the man. His smile was rigid, and all he seemed to care for was 'making the sale'. Whenever the chance arose, little persuasive nothings would manage to slide into his speech. To gain the attention of her parents who were muttering amongst themselves, he cleared his throat and adjusted his red clip on tie. The three began discussing matters that the little girl was too young to really understand or take place in. Catching on that her presence wasn't going to be needed for a while, she strolled towards the living room area and sat upon the plastic covered furniture. Moving away truly sucked.

((When writing this I was using the three words provided by Nightmare of Eden. These words will prove to be incorrect if someone manages to post before I do. ))

Here's a pointer......even though it's based off manga and all...make sure you don't write it as if it is an anime......Only use actual Japanese names if the characters are from or living in Japan.

Sorry about that, I just see way too many people writing their characters face faulting and such.
