Phil blinked. "Okay, wow."

"Well, go on and eat it. Not like I'll finish it."

He promptly ate another piece.

Phil looked around the carnival, which was darkened. A few security guards roamed the area, not caring that Phil and Rya existed. BECAUSE THEY CAN BE LIKE THAT.

"It's not. Huh. You think they'd warn us if it was closing. It's as if time went four times as fast or something. Hm."

"Well, people do suck. Maybe we should head out of here or go on that rickety ferris wheel. Or...something." Phil took a swig of his beer. "Unless you have something else in mind for tonight?"

"Aww," Phil said, pulling Rya into a hug. "You'll get a promotion. Until then let's drink to the good times."

He ate an over-sugared piece of funnel cake. "Did we get drinks?"

Phil left a five-spot on the counter as the two left for a table.

"So, is it just the concession stand, or do you also work one of those rigged carnival games that entice small children to blow their hard earned allowances to win cheap stuffed animals?"

"Oh, alright. I'll just go over and eat my funnel cake and wait up. ...Can I have my funnel cake, please?"
