Jin came to after what felt like being hit harder than he had ever felt. He knew why. Why am I reacting like this when the Dark Lord is around? He didn't want to know the answer yet, so he quietly rose and walked out of where he was. He spotted Cyrus and walked over. "Cyrus, I need to talk to you."

"If this is what it must be than allow me to remain guard here, in place of the goblins to ensure none of the prisoners try anything." He stood up at attention, and backed against the wall. "It is the least I can do to ensure the prisoners don't try anything."

Jin stepped between Eve and his Lord, breaking their eye contact, however his still kept his head lowered. "My Lord, for all my years of loyalty, after every mission I have accomplished in your name, I only make this one humble request. I shall forever be in your debt if you allow her to come with me, she will learn, as I did."

Jin jumped up at the sound of his voice and turned. "My Lord." He knelt down, bowing his head. "I feel this area is unfit for her, those goblins have made threats towards her. I wish to take responsibility for her myself and move her to the tactics devision, with your permission of course, my Lord. I shall keep her under close watch."

Jin's head dropped, looking down at the ground, letting out a low sigh "I will always be a monster nothing can change that, I know. But if I can save one person, I can die knowing I've done even one good thing." He tried lifting his head again but felt weak, and didn't want to face her. "I must apologize. I've never met you, I don't know why, I just... feel like I have hurt you or done something wrong to you." He kept his head down, trying to avoid her eyes, he felt as though at this moment they could have killed him just by looking at him.

"Even with my power it is useless against him. I'm nothing. Besides, with this gauntlet and sword he can control me. Without them, I am much weaker." Jin tried to stop himself but before he knew what he had done, he had revealed something about him, something about a weakness. He had never done anything like this before. "Anyways... I may have done it but I did it for a reason, to get close, trusted, so I could then help others in need who were being held in the prison." He looked at her, and slowly moved his other hand up to push the hair out of her face, trying not to scare her. "Do you hate me for what I've done? Killing? What if I was a prisoner under a different man, and I was sent as an assassin to kill the Dark Lord's generals and minions, would it be any different? I would still be a worthless murderer."

"I believe at the time he told me he saw a 'true power' that was hidden deep within me." He leaned back in the seat he was in, crossing one leg over the other, relaxing a bit. "I didn't really have any talents, my arm was almost lost after the attack on my home, and they threw me in here until they decided I was just 'wasting supplies' so my Lord sent in a goblin to retrieve me. Well I didn't want to go without a fight... so I killed him with my bare hands. They sent in two more, and I killed them. It took them four goblins and one of his personal body guards before they finally had me under control. They were about to execute me when my Lord came out with a sword," Jin glanced down at his sword, "and a full arm gauntlet, and asked me, do I choose death, or servitude. I worked directly for him, I became his assassin of sorts. He needed someone dead I would do it no questions asked." He lost himself for a second, thinking back on all the people. "I'm a monster, I know I am but... I do it for survival. Maybe it was wrong of me but I don't regret it by any means. Would you?"

Jin wasn't quite sure what this warm feeling was that washed over him. He looked back into her eyes, thinking to himself. Do I trust her? Why should I not... perhaps she is just trying to use me. Warmth was something he was not use to. Cold. Everything he knew was cold. The stone walls, the steel bars of a holding cell, his sword, his shielded arm. All were cold. "You know I wasn't always a ranking officer here... I use to be exactly where you are sitting now."

"I find its not so much paranoia as it is self preservation. I witnessed a friend of mine, slaughtered by my lord's own hand for one simple reason. He took a young child from a cell, and tried to bring the kid to a hidden camp so the kid would have a chance for a bit more normal life." Jin leaned in close to the bars. "As for something I would like to tell you...? Well..." He looked around, making sure no one was listening in. He looked back to Eve, whispering quietly. "Not everyone here is as loyal to the lord as they seem. Its not that I would kill him had I the chance... Its just that I find that I agree with some of his ideals, however not all. He can be a bit cruel." He started tapping his steel finger tip against the bar of Eve's cell. "So, still wish to get out of this cell? I'll do what I can but its just as dangerous out here as it is in there."
