Deathnote anyone? Go to post 44 Recycle Bin Fri Dec 04, 2009 4:36 am
I prefer Light. I never really "got into" L, as some did. Ah, well.

You'd best be trollin', babydoll. Put your energy somewhere more productive.
picky anime fan looking for a new series to watch Go to post 22 Anime Series & Movies Fri Dec 04, 2009 3:27 am
Pretear is a good magical girl series. No straight up BL, if I remember correctly, but there's a bit of slash potential if you have your goggles on, so to speak. Oddly enough, it has a tinge of darkness in it towards the end, but I would say it's neither super-sweet, nor dark and brooding.

You might like 07-Ghost as well. Very recent, magic and slash are big elements in it, and it's comfortably within your episode range. Much of it is centered around a church, so the atmosphere can be very bright and almost-summery at times, and just as easily things can become quite sinister. It's niiice.

Out of all the CLAMP anime out there, the best in terms of slash is X, no question. The show has magic elements, but no 'traditional' magical girls with transformations, and is not too old. But you said you're interested in CLAMP, which implies you already know CLAMP, so you may've seen it already, idk. ;;

Annnnd I feel the need to pimp/recommend you play Persona 4 while we're here, derp derp. Yeah.

Thaatttt's a pretty big spectrum. :0

Perhaps Rental Magica? And definitely Darker Than Black and Baccano, for sure.
Who has seen Shakugan no Shana? Go to post 14 Anime Series & Movies Wed Dec 02, 2009 5:45 am
Quite good through most of season 2. It started to draaaaag as they stretched to fill the episode quota, I think.

I enjoyed it overall.

Out of those? I guess I'd pick sentai. Not big on mecha, and I'm super picky about mahou shoujo. Uniforms are pretty hot.
Would you rather own a manga or borrow it from a library? Go to post 44 Manga Mon Nov 30, 2009 5:22 am
It depends on the series. Older stuff, like Mixx editions of Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon I'd rather buy, 'cause kids have colored in parts of those.

For others, I enjoy using the library. I enjoy reading a paper copy of a manga far more than reading scanlations, but some series I will only read once, and would rather rent than buy. Still others, like X are so long, and harder to find, yet unpopular at my local library. I can check those out whenever I please, so I don't invest the money in owning every volume of the manga. ;; Yeah.

Yes, I enjoyed it. It's a show that's got something for everyone.

I don't want to smack her. I might get a paper cut.
