"Very possible."

I felt really bad for Alnette after her last battle. It wouldn't be fair if I fought her in this condition. In fact it'd probably be more like bullying. So I waited for Alnette to lose her guard and knocked her out, catching her before she hit the floor. I carried her to a bed in the medical ward where I left her to rest.

"Sleep well, Alnette."

TNP: "Okay, let's do this."

"Save me this dance~" ((Ohshite, I wasn't expecting that. XD))

I really really need to thank Scribbles for everything she's done for me. The preening, replacement feathers and now a full night's rest on a very comfortable cloud. Seriously, she was so giving that I felt bad that I haven't done anything for her. But that is neither here nor there. I had to stay in the moment. My opponent was Alnette and she was never one to back down from anything.

We started the battle with an old-fashioned stare down. I noticed that she was wearing considerably less clothing than before and I blushed despite myself. She saw this as a sign of weakness and launched her attack at once. As she leapt toward me I saw the spells she was readying and crouched into an offensive stance. When she was within striking distance I jumped backward and avoided my defeat by spellfire. Over and over Alnette tried to strike me down with spell after spell but I was just quick enough to avoid them. When I was backed against the wall I dug in and clenched my fists. Ivan's markings traveled up my arm and found a home next to the tattoo on my back. He wanted nothing to do with what came next.

"Don't blink," I said quietly as Alnette neared me with what she thought was the final blow. She had a dagger at the ready and I narrowed my eyes to focus on it. Just as Alnette made her attack I reached out and caught the dagger in my hand. Normally this would have sliced my hand open and the match would be over. Normally I don't have phoenix fire covering my hand. Alnette's eyes widened as she saw me pull back my free hand, close it into a fist and engulf my entire arm in the same pure fire. I loosed my punch and the flames hit her dead on in the stomach. Alnette went soaring through the air with a trail of fire following her. When she hit the ground I fell to my knees in exhaustion. I won, but damn was I tired.

TNP: "C'mon! I feel fantastic! Let's make this one worthwhile."

"Heh, I've been waiting for this for a loooong time." ((You have GOT to be kidding me. XD))

I thought I was ready for Emma at the height of her power. I figured that I could take her even without my wings and that my speed would be enough to keep me in the game.

I was dead wrong.

I started with a simple head-on charge to test the waters. I ran head first into one of Emma's numerous wards. They had all shot up so fast that I didn't even see her cast a spell. Not to be defeated, I tried shattering the barriers like I had done before. I nearly broke my hands doing so. In a last ditch effort I tried to use the Void Point on the walls in front of me in hopes that I could just null them with my energy. Absolutely nothing worked on the shields and I was left wondering what to do. Of course, Emma knew exactly what to do in this situation. She introduced me to a blast of pure arcane magic that could probably have torn a hole in the void of space itself had I not been in the way.

TNP: "Ow... ow... ow..."

"Emma... are you..."

I didn't really get a chance to finish what I was saying. After the rush of phoenix fire I was pretty much tapped out. I hit the floor face first and passed out then and there. When I woke up again I was in the medical ward next to a badly burned Emma.

"Woah, meteors." ((Sweet baby Jesus. I really hope the next person makes this 99 worthwhile. XD))

I was going to comment on how Muramasa's weapons were supposed to be evil, but I was distracted by the sky. There were dozens of tiny little rocks falling around me. It was like my own personal meteor storm. Of course, if one of them was large enough to pose a threat I promptly crushed it before it did any real damage.

TNP: "Hey Emma, don't blink."

"Okay~"

Farkson was in need of a hug and I was willing to give him one. After all, I'll hug just about anyone.

TNP: "This is going to hurt, isn't it?"

"For... me, I guess?"

What? Everyone else was declaring something and I don't really have a reason for being here other than I want to, so I'm fighting for me. It makes sense... anyway, my opponent was using a staff so I made the appropriate changes to my battle strategy in order to fight him.

None whatsoever.

I dashed in and ducked under a horizontal swing which I followed up with an uppercut. Who knew the guy had a glass jaw?

TNP: "I've heard about you. Back off."

Her che- uh, eyes. Yeah. >.>

Er, no. sweatdrop

"It's okay... really."

After spending some time in the medical ward I was ready to go again. Apparently the people who ran the 'Dome liked pitting me against Alnette. Well I was ready this time. I had gotten over myself and stood ready to take on Alnette. She looked like she wasn't sure whether or not to fight so I gave her a confident smile and all doubt was erased. We both charged in and struck each other with our respective weapons. I had to use my broken gauntlet as a shield against Alnette's Dark Excalibur since I had not fixed it yet. Of course, I still had my left.

"Get ready, Alnette," I said with my usual smirk. "I'm about to win this."

She returned my smile and brought down the sword on my head. I caught the blade in between the plates of my gauntlet and spun the weapon out of her hand. Alnette only had enough time to swear before my other hand was at her throat. We stood in the pose for a moment before I backed off and smiled.

"I'm willing to move on if you are," I said to Alnette with a forgiving smile.
