BEAUTiful 8DDD~

I really love the the blog look, and how the color scheme all goes together x). It's light and faded, but not too dull-looking. The organization is very unique, something I'm working on myself xD~

The only things I have to point out, is that your 'profile shoppe' link isn't don't the same as the others ;o. Maybe change #about ol ol a:link to #about ol ol a?
That way instead it'll cover visited, active, and everything but hover ^^.

And the theme isn't exactly one thing. You have the Eiffel tower in the background in one of your sections, and then the lyrics of Breakway in the background of your main image ;o. Maybe if you put something that fit with the title, like Bittersweet Faith (loveliest song out there I know), by BitterSweet, Won't Go Home With You (Maroon 5). Those aren't exactly songs that REALLY connect with the theme, but they do more of that, if you know what I'm saying ;3. Because even if it does look nice, people will be reading the lyrics in your profile, and notice the eiffel tower too on occasion xD. 8.8/10

I was able to manage it without the overflow: visible though. I think that as long as you have width and height set to zero, the '!important' behind 'top left', and the padding, then it'll work ^^.

Hmm, I can kinda see what you mean ;o. But I also did intend the layout to be dullish/colorful, kinda varying from one to the other, you know? Possibly the prescence of all those colors just make it stand out more~

I personally think that the rainbow should still stay though, because it's a major symbol in the wizard of oz. And you can't really do anything to tone it down... that'll ruin the essence of 'rainbow' right there xD. But if you feel that it's the gaia header that's throwing it off, then maybe I should change it to seem more 'colorful' ;o.

(Btw, sent you two pms about something... forgot what they were about xD. But I thought it wise not to comment you, seeming that you don't need anymore than what you're already getting anyway ;D.)

Yeah, I tried to find other songs that might've matched, but that was the only one ><. Nope, I can't set it off autoplay (or it won't play at all, and then you won't have any music. Tempting as it is, I'm planning to keep the music for now.) It's impossible to set the volume lower in the multimedia link hypster provides for some reason ><. And I don't know what you're talking about paddings o.O.

A collage layout is a layout where several images are put together, but in a unique and artistic way, leaving room for sections and content. It is a very artistically-inclined type of layout, and is practically impossible to make if you don't pre-plan how you're going to do things :/. I'm pretty sure Liixi and every layout maker that's made one has done so.

Yeah, I know about the spaces ;o. But then again the empty spaces are really small, so it didn't matter to me to fill it anyway. And then I didn't know what to fill that main area with except with my status buttons ><.

Maybe I'd spend some time in pitying you, but it's two o'clock in the morning and I'm too tired.
Just a word though: If you plan on staying in the PD, don't expect anything better than what I gave you (in reality, much less), unless all you're looking for is flattery and b.s. And that will be hard to come by, unless you post a sign that specifically says that.

I'm not exactly sure. I guess it's drive from my will to learn, but that's not all. It's like I want to expand my horizons, see what I can do with graphics and coding. But the biggest reason I guess is what you would call an artist's will to keep painting/drawing, to keep working on new masterpieces, because somehow if you stop altogether, you won't know what to do with yourself, and your passion.

I guess there's no other reason x). My curiousity as a newbie back in 8th grade grew to active interest, and then into a love and addiction that I cannot stop. There are many people that see so many flaws in their layouts, but I see them as only an enhancing to itself, making it special to only you and yourself. Because they are flaws that only you have made in them. And with them, you learn to create far better, improved layouts that take you step by step to your goal. And at the same time, your goal is simply in improving your work, and enjoying it's uniqueness, with all it's positive sides and flawed aspects.

I don't have the say in whether you 'copied' Liixi's idea in the pinup girls. But I do agree in the opinion that there should be more color flow, like if the pinup girls are dull, make the colors duller, use a lesser variety of colors (the most 4 or 5, the less 2 or 3). Gray, black, and white are not considered separate colors, because they shades of the same neutral color, and the same for every other color. Color combination is very important. Blues go well easily with purples, pinks, greens. Any color is fine with a neutral color, but not much creativity comes from it. When making strong colors (say bold blue) go with other strong colors (say bold red), much skill is needed. So take time in thinking up/making color combinations for your layouts, because they may determine whether your layout is passably appealing, or harsh and grating to the eyes.
This goes the same for color coding. Color coding should pretty much always come from the template itself, with the exception of a few alterations here and there. They also contribute a lot to the color scheme of the layout.

I'm not condemning you for bad color combination in your profile. Heck, I've been profiling for a year now and I still make wrong choices on color combination. But I think if you simply take some time to think about what kind of color you'd use in your template (sort of like what colors you're going to use on a canvas), it'll improve the appearance and graphic appeal of your layout by a lot.

If you want tutorials, they're all over the PD. If you want advice, I just gave them.
If you want to improve, don't waste time in being pissed over something that anyone else that took the time to do so will give you.

And btw, I'm not being sarcastic ;].
