Should I ever bother with DA? Go to post 39 Art Discussion Sat Aug 21, 2004 7:55 pm
Devdan
now that DA has segregated traditional and digital art..is it even worth being apart of DA if youre a traditional? redface with so many digital artists on DA and so many of their 'traditaional' stuff nothing more but a doodle on paper, is anyone can bother browsing therough traditional art?

how many of you go to DA and how many of you browse through traditional stuff? crying how is my gallery gonna be noticed when im segregated

does DA still have an un biased search function? last i checked there wasnt one

Face it, what it all boils down to is if it looks like crap, no one will like it. It doesn't matter if it's digital or otherwise.

Plus since it's an art community you need to 'interact' with people on the site. It kind of irratates me how some people post and don't interact with anyone, that's kind of snobby stare

Anyhoo yeah!

In my opinion, being an artist it being creative with all mediums, and all genres, and not being so closed minded and sticking to the same thing. And what about the other mediums being catogorized? is THAT biased too??

Alot of people use traditional art on DA. nothing is biased, the need to organize the damn thing somehow. Sheesh.

Anyone got any of those nee collection of drawing manga books? If so,are they worth buying?I really would like more information about them,in order to decide whther to buy them or not.
Thanks in advance!

Usually those how to draw manga books (ones that I have seen) are terrible, the ones by christopher heart and others are ones that especially suck, and are overpriced. But, even though they may suck at teaching, they can be used as good inspriation.
As far as teaching you, they all blow real bad. It's best to learn on your own.

(sorry for being bitter, it's my opinion, and I really think those books just mock the whole 'art scene')
