Nitroglycerific Rainbow
Just puttin' in my two cents.
You can't expect the con to offer much, what with it being free, but that doesn't mean they can get away with a lackluster presentation.
The problem with Momocon is, in fact, that it's free. Too many people enjoy the simple craziness of con environment, so the appeal of a free con is hard to pass up, especially after a long winter. If Momocon wants to survive, they'll have to do something to create crowd control [besides herding us like livestock].
They need to either move to bigger facilities or start charging us. Even a minimal amount would probably cut the crowd down. However, that brings into possibility of Anime O-Tekku [GA Tech's anime club] becoming a for-profit organization, which would be a sticky situation.
Is there a feasible solution for Momocon's perfect storm?

For me the last couple of years Momocon was a lot better. Even with funnel clouds and a wet bottom during the costume contest I had a blast. They had events and people could go in an out as they pleased and enjoy them. This year Momocon was a victim of it's success. They didn't plan for the bad weather at all even though they had at least a week to get a plan in place but they should have had a bad weather plan in place long before especially after last year.
The number one thing they need to change in the venue and maybe move it to April or May since Georgia typically has better weather in those months. They of all people should know how unpredictable Georgia weather is in March
