cant stop the truth
This is the truth, and none of it has been made up. people will tell you that they do help people, and this is true. They have helped people. They have a purpose though, and that purpose is not for the benefit of mankind, but rather for the spread of christianity. Their so called charity is a means to an end. The idea of charity gets them donations and funding to continue to spread christianity around the world. Their work with the poor and homeless gives them a group of ready converts who need help and are not in a postition to tell them they do not need god with their help.
Charity is just part of what Christianity preaches and practices. O_o
In other words, this thread = if you're not Christian, don't try to help out the less fortunate by donating through Salvation Army because they'll try to convert you.

Demon Eyed I say Merry Christmas because I'm Catholic. If someone takes offense to that, well, f**k them. I'm not trying to force my religion on them, I'm just trying to spread the good cheer that comes from saying "Merry Christmas". I don't feel that I should have to put my own beliefs in the back seat just because someone might get offended. The way I see it, it's a stupid thing to get offended over, really. I'm trying to be polite and cheerful, and you're going to ignore that just because of what I say. Psh. Stupidity.

Addle Larson Cat Wears A Hat The SA isn't evil, they do far too much good for the less fortunate to even be close to that. Some of the people in the SA could be evil, though.
An interesting pondering: If one is evil, but does only good in the name of evil, how do you define this being?
You'd have to define what is "good" first. But I would say the person's actions are good, but the person is evil. It's a conundrum. @_@

I saw this quote a while ago and decided that Hemingway hit the nail on the head. It seems, at least to me, that every intelligent person I know is actually quite sad. I was thinking about this, and it seems that they are depressed because they have the thought capacity to consider the complex philosophies that can make a person so distressed.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had thought about this, and if you agree/disagree?
I would say highly intelligent people are depressed because they're surrounded by idiots? neutral

I see comments like this all the time on Gaia. This is cleaner than most, I mean a lot deals with stereotypes or using the N word.. or just to breed hate.
Anyway, the fact that I keep running into it over and over is telling me its got to be a general consensus among white people. Sure, there may be some who can truly look past skin tone and interact with people and all that jazz.. but seriously.. WTF?
Instead of giving me the 'oh, its good to share and care and racism is bad' 2nd grade mumbo jumbo.. tell the truth. Have you been raised in some degree to be an ignorant racist moron?White people aren't perfect. stare I'm tired of this euro-centric mentality where being white is desires..to a point where people in places like Asia or the Dominican Republican spend tons of money on skin bleaching products and things.
How can America be the land of opportunity where everyone has so much at their fingertips yet is loaded with the stupidest people the world has even seen?
When blacks stop using the N word against other blacks, I'll start taking them as a majority more seriously. Until then I'll just laugh whenever I hear the term "white racist".

Hey all I'm saying is that those that harp on about racial equality, and then regard those of their own ethnicity with racial slurs, don't really seem to want equality that much, and I can't take them seriously when they say they do (want equality).
