When is it right to hit a woman? Go to post 171 Extended Discussion Fri Oct 30, 2009 4:07 pm

How many of you have heard the story of what happened between Jayde Nicole and Joe Francis? Well here's the short verson of what happened, Joe Francis was hitting on a friend of both Jenner (her boyfriend) and Nicole. When Francis became very persistent, Jayde Nicole threw her drink on Francis. He then pulled Jaydes hair, punched her in the face, threw her to the ground, and then started kicking her (and yes this is true, there is security footage).

So my questions to you are...

1. Did Fancis have right to do that?
2. When is it acceptable to hit a woman?

I saw some comments and responses about it on places like youtube and wanted to know what you think.

In my opinion, he did not have the right to do that to her. She poored a drink on him, he has the right to poor a drink on her (plus it would be more classy then what he did), nothing more. Not because she is a girl, but because she is a human being. What she did was wrong, but all she did was poor a drink on him and he reacted by pulling her hair, throwing her on the ground, and kicking her. There were plenty of better ways he could have haddled the situation.

1. Joe Francis is a d**k. This is not news.

2. If a woman was beating you to the point you felt your life was truly threatened, I would expect anyone to fight back, regardless of gender.
I am so sick and tired of people blaming the government Go to post 16 Politics Fri Oct 30, 2009 3:57 pm
Why rely on the government for anything? They always ******** up the simplest of tasks anyway. The gov't is not here "for the people". I don't think if ever HAS been.

If a straight person was beaten to death by a gay person because said person was straight, would THAT be a hate crime?

If you kill someone for the way they are, or what they believe, it is a hate crime.

Just making sure.

What these anti Hispanic white Southerners don't realize, is while they b***h and yell about
Mexicans taking all their jobs, the Mexicans are taking all the lowest paying jobs these nationalists don't what to do, or won't do any ways. these dumb racists don't realize is if you deport ALL Hispanics from the us, who's gonna do these minimum wage low jobs any ways? Be happy that their are people in this world willing to do these jobs, and unlike these white nationalists, they don't b***h and complain about doing these jobs. they do what they have to to survive, while you wealthy nationalists right wing bastards enjoy your luxuries, suck down your brewsky and plant your fat asses in front of the boob tube watching Fox TV.

Actually, not every white guy is a snooty millionaire who would never deign to do hard labor to support themselves and their family. In fact, there are heaps and heaps of uneducated white trash who wouldn't mind doing the same work the illegal aliens do for the same pay. The only problem is that our country has this thing were you have to pay "taxes", which is money you give to the government to help fund things and make our country a better place. Basically hospitals, police stations, roads, libraries, and a whole bunch of other nice things. Unfortunately illegal aliens don't have to pay taxes because they're not legal citizens, that means they can survive much more easily on a smaller income since they don't have the burden of paying these "taxes". Every legal citizen does however, so in order to be able to pay their taxes and support their families they need a little bit more money. So really, it's not about white people not wanting to do hard work, it's about legal American citizens of all backgrounds wanting to do hard work, but not being able to because some people are allowed to break the law and not pay taxes that help support our great country.

So, increase the sales tax and then no one can avoid paying it becuase everyone buys something.

People who buy bigger, more expensive stuff will end up paying more and people , like me, who are frugal and limit our consumption, will pay less.

That wouldn't solve the issue of property and income tax, unless you eliminated all taxes *except* for sales and then just divvied up the sales tax to fund what other now non-existent taxes would cover.

Enjoy paying 75$ for that Snickers bar.

I've been searching through that "notalwaysright" website and this one takes the cake. I'm not sure if it's real, but it's really hilarious.

"Dr. Jekyll And Mrs. Hyde
Call Center | Camp Hill, PA, USA

Me: Thank you for calling, this is ***. How may I help you today?

Customer: *cheerful* I need you to check my account.

Me: Certainly, I'd be happy to do that for you. May I have your identification number so I can look you up in our system please?

Customer: My what? Why would you want that? Don't you know who I am?

Me: Unfortunately not, ma'am. We have no real way of knowing who is on the other end of the line unless you give us either that number or your social security number.

Customer: *suddenly demonic* HOW DARE YOU! YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE TERRORISTS, AREN'T YOU?!

Me: Um excuse me?

Customer: YOU want my social so you can steal my identity, don't you? That's why you called me, to steal my credit score, you little punk!

Me: Ma'am, you called me. This is your insurance company. Just read me the number on the front of your card so I can look up your account information.

Customer: *suddenly cheerful again* &Oh, is that all? Why didn't you just say so? My number is ***.

Me: Ma'am, it seems your account is handled by a different department than mine. Would you like me to give you their direct number before I transfer you?

Customer: *back to demonic* YOU TRICKED ME! You tricked me out of my information! I'm calling the FBI on you, you little c**t!

Me: *transfers call*

(I have never been so happy to transfer a caller. I logged the call, and later that day received an internal office email from some rep in another part of the state. All it said was WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????)" rofl

LOLS. I think the operator may have been trolled.

I worked retail once and had a bad experience with a customer. She expected me to search through ALL of the clearance rack swim suits to look for a certain size swim top that she couldn't describe what it looked like. She was on the phone while I was doing this searching, and I told her I couldn't find it but she insisted that she needed it immediately. There wasn't anything I could do. And so the next day she comes up to our store when she lived in another city (wtf) and told my manager I was rude to her. I got called into the manager's office and given that customer is always right schpeel and that sometimes you just have to suck it up and kiss a** because that's what the customer expects you to do. Nearly in tears, I told them they were wrong - that I wasn't there to be some stranger's b***h (didn't say it in those exact words lol).

I should mention that the chain of retailers I had this experience at is no longer in business at all. mrgreen

You handled the situation very well, much better than I would have. Some people think they're just entitled to things and that they can push you around until you give them what they want. You did the mature thing when she just made an a** of herself.

ED, what is your attitudes towards kids who are bullied chronically and physically retaliate against their bullies?
Should they be punished for reacting when the school will not reasonably help them?
Should bullies or the kids who physically retaliate be punished more severely?
Are bullied kids (as in my example) who bash back justified?
What would you do if you were the bullied kid in my example?

Damn straight. I don't blame the kid being bullied AT ALL for retaliating. Serves the stupid bully right.

Nope. Self-defense would be my argument if I were in that situation.

Bullies shouldn't be tolerated simply for the fact that they're the trolls of real life.

Bullied kids who fight back are justified if they've tried to get help previously from like, a school administrator or teacher or a parent, and yet they are still being bullied.

If I were the bullied kid (which I have been when I was younger) I wouldn't actively seek to retaliate. If I were PUSHED to however, I would.

Careful...

Ha no need to tell me that. I watch that show all the time.

My brother was bullied bad by this one kid when he was in school. The kid wouldn't let up even after my brother talked to teachers and parents. He had enrolled in Tae Kwon Do class around the time this bullying began. A big part of those classes was not using your knowledge to persecute others, but only for self-defense. One day the bully pushed my brother too far, and my brother socked him one good. The bully never messed with him again.

What if the "wolf" was a feral human? Any plausible reasons for that?

I have seen that docu about the weird attacks in that French village. Pretty cool stuff.

I've just seen the dramatisation. They made the wolf a lion in armour in that one. xd

You're thinking of "Le Pacte des loups" (Brotherhood of the Wolves). Awesome movie. I felt bad for the poor lion (who was caught by a noble on a hunting trip to Africa ninja ).

Yeah, that's it. It was about this particular wolf attack story, wasn't it? I seem to remember some incest going on as well - weirdo movie. It had its points, but I felt bad for the lion too, and worried about the animals they used in the film. I don't think France has the same laws concerning animal actors welfare. sad

I don't know if it was specifically based off of the historical wolf attacks in the 1700s but I wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired by those events.
