| Not being able to wear what you want to? Go to post | 86 | Lifestyle Discussion |

I wish I could wear what I want, but I can't. I want my wardrobe to consist of clothes from Hot Topic, but that won't happen until I'm in college. My parents think I'll become some Satanist or Wiccan if I dress Emo/Gothic. I don't really get it, but whatever. At least I can get hoodies and shoes from Hot Topic. That'll suffice for now.

Architect Eyes People bash that way because they dress that way for attention or cannot pull it off the majority of the time. Most times scenesters/emo kids are teenagers, and nobody likes teenagers. It also generally looks terrible: tight pants that give you plumber's butt and emphasize wall-a** don't look any better than gigantic baggy pants that give you plumber's butt and emphasize wall-a**. Generally, teenagers who dress in this style have low self-esteem and don't carry themselves well, making them easier targets for harassment. EDIT: I personally appreciate seeing people who genuinely enjoy what they wear and have fun with it instead of seeing people try too hard to fit into a mould. Converse shoes are not comfortable - Pumas are, Prowings are, and it is obviously more about style because I have yet to find one person who genuinely finds Converse comfortable. I think Converses are comfortable. I don't know why people say they aren't. Maybe I'm just a weird person. =/ |

It's really cute, but like what Bloodstained said, it's kind of color. But it's still cute though. :Whee:

Akemi Idane pink_toilet Akemi Idane AH FORGOT SHOES!!! http://www.demonia.co.uk/contents/media/t_demonia_electra_2037.jpg http://www.demonia.co.uk/contents/media/t_demonia_gravel_14.jpg (I might get that second pair while my knees are healing. Hhmm...) what happened to your knee? Ah the basic boot They pronate (translate as: I walk, and run, knock-kneed), and it's kind of screwing up all the muscles in my leg. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/pinupgirlclothing_2064_708212 I think one of my sisters runs knock-kneed. She's 7 though, so she'll probably grow out of it or something. |

Xx-Razzmatazz-xX C00K13 D0UGH QU33N gas station bathroom C00K13 D0UGH QU33N Xx-Razzmatazz-xX C00K13 D0UGH QU33N I'm probably going to sound stupid asking this, but I really want to know: Does Hot Topic sell Gothic styled clothing? Because I really like Emo and Gothic styled clothing, and some of Hot Topic's clothing looks Gothic (i.e. Their skirts and dresses), and I heart Hot Topic's clothing. I'm asking an honest question here. Not trying to troll or anything. I don't even know how to troll. o.O *** Don't worry, you're not trolling. I do believe that some of Hot Topic's items can be considered 'Gothic', in some aspects. Of course, when most people think Hot Topic, they think MallGoth. Not quite sure, though. We don't have Hot Topic where I'm from. .___. *** Thank goodness! Some people get all butthurt when someone says Hot Topic is Goth. sweatdrop That's good though. Because I've seen some Scene and Emo styled clothes at Hot Topic too, so I'm thinking, "So...Hot Topic isn't Goth? What? I'm confuzzled..." If only I had a job, or Hot Topic's clothes weren't so darn pricey, maybe I could get my clothes from there. Where are you from if I may ask? And also, a Mall Goth is a poser, or someone who thinks they're Goth, but doesn't really have a clue about the Goth culture? I don't call myself Goth, I just like the clothes, and I've liked them since I was about 13 years old. Could that make me a Mall Goth as well? gonk You're only a poser if you think your the gothest goth since goth came to goth town, dressed in your mallgothy clothes (that can be from anywhere) and listen non-goth bands. Oh, okay. Good! I'm not a Mall Goth. whee *** Haha... xD And, you wouldn't be considered a poser if you just liked the clothes. Wearing them, and considering yourself to be (as GSB said) the "gothest goth since goth came to goth town", then you may be considered a poser. But you're not, so no worries~! Also, I'm from Canada. No Hot Topic stores here, from what I've seen. Although, we do have Gothical... *** Yeah, I just love them. The different styles are so cool (My favorite styles are Victorian and Cyber), and they just seem to match me. Unfortunately, my parents think I'll become some Satanist or Wiccan or whatever if I wear Gothic and Emo styled clothing, so I'm stuck wearing casual clothes, like Kohl's and JCPenny and stuff. Oooh, Gothical sounds like a cool store! I wonder if America has any Gothical stores. whee |
