Mutiple Drivers Require Updating Go to post 17 Computers & Technology Tue Feb 17, 2009 5:10 pm
I've gone through multiple programs and web sites trying to update my drivers to their most recent versions, and they are not only failing to do so, but are causing very serious errors. Driver Genius Pro and Driver Magician both tell me that I need to update the drivers for my display, my audio, and my motherboard, which I personally find to be the MOST IMPORTANT things I've got in there.

♥ [solved]
I run Windows XP, I have an ATI Radeon 512 MB DDR2 Dual Link x1550 PCI Express, and on the side of the box, it says I have (out of the 4 options) the PCIe bus interface. Oh and the box also says TV-Out on the front.

My Creative SB Live! Player 1024 Sound Card is working perfectly mrgreen
♥ [/solved]

For my motherboard, I have the CD that it came with. The CD says Version RN4.02B-NF73 (version of the drivers?). I'm sure that the drivers provided by the CD are not up to date, and the driver for the Realtek(ALC662) High Definition Audio Driver never did work, which is why I got the Sound Blaster. The person who built my computer mentioned that the sound card built in to the motherboard didn't work for other people in the past, which is why he suggested the Sound Blaster. CD also says I have the nVidia MCP73 Chipset, which I am pretty sure is what my motherboard is called.

That's pretty much all the info I have on hand. I'm sure you need more on the sound card, but I don't trust the info provided by the programs I used, and I am not sure if they messed up the information on my computer. I also don't know if the built in sound card is better then the Sound Blaster I got.

Yeah ^_^; quite a bit of a mess I got here, but it all works fine... but something tells me they don't work optimally...

Oh, and I read around about the PCI Device that is totally unknown on my device manager, and they say it is not good, and possibly related to the problems I am having... so it might go away after I get my updated drivers... I will cross my fingers. Forget I mentioned it, for now xD

So... I leave it to my favorite online community to help update my computer! Gaia rulez heart Wouldn't dare post this anywhere else 3nodding

[EDIT]
My Graphics card has successfully been updated, and I will be keeping an eye on that site to keep me updated. Thanks ^_^

[EDIT2]
The only remaining issues are insignificant, but still something worth fixing. I still need to get my motherboard updated and I'd like to find out why the built in sound card on my motherboard does not work.
Total Recorder Audio Issues Go to post 5 Computers & Technology Fri Nov 28, 2008 6:09 pm
Hypercam works great... I should have remembered this program, since I have seen that logo many many times now. I will take a closer look at Total Recorder some other time.

That sounds odd, but most likely some kinda settings you gotta mess with... unfortunately I've never used Total Recorder so I can't really help you on it nor have I ever used any program to record my computer activity. Though I do know of another program that does just that which is called HyperCam, unless you register it (which costs money) you'll get a little grey box on everything you record in the corner of your videos that says "unregistered version of hypercam" or something like that.

Tell me more about that program. Can I get perfect quality videos with perfect quality audio?

I installed Total Recorder and everything seems to be set correctly. I have been messing with the settings for over an hour now, and I completely give up. No matter what I do, when I record, the audio is wither not there, or an extremely loud noise. My goal is to use Total Recorder to record zOMG. At this point, I am beginning to think this program is bad, and I am perfectly willing to try a different one.

Any suggestions on how to get this program to work, or any suggestions on a better program?

i wanted either defibrillater, divinity, or healing halo but i don't know what 1 get. the rinbgs i have now r hack, improbablity sphere, meat, rock armor, dervish, bandage, and hot foot. what healing ring would go best wih the rings i have?

Slash is better then Dervish, so I would suggest getting that as soon as possible. Deals a lot more damage...
Healing Halo is pretty useless, unless you want the angel set.
Defib is also pretty useless, unless you see people getting dazed a lot, and you care.
Divinity is totally one of the best rings in the game.

ALMOST SOLO'D THE END BOSS BY MYSELF, BUT THEN DIED!!! xD Go to post 9 zOMG! (Gaia's MMO) Wed Nov 26, 2008 5:39 pm
Pretty simple... to allow somebody in your crew to solo the end boss you do the following:

Mac - Apple+q
Windows - Alt+F4
Linux - uhh... nobody cares

It is also a great way to fix many of the bugs in the game, sometimes instantly.

Sound and Drama.m3u
ZeldaTechno.m3u

Save their bandwidth and download the music rather then streaming them, if you can. These are just a few of the things I listen to.
