| Mouse "Navi" and Web Page Background Go to post | 0 | Computers & Technology |

http://www.freewebs.com/i8ab2day/test.html
That page contains both the incomplete background and what I will call my "mouse navi" (thinking of a fairy following your mouse). I used an image to stretch the page. My goal is to get the background image to fill the entire page, no matter what size the page is, and to have it remain fixed on to the page. My issue is that both codes used to do this are.... faulty... &script language="JavaScript1.2"& if (document.All||document.GetElementById) Document.Body.Style.Background="url('YourIMG.Jpg') white center no-repeat fixed" &/script& or <div style="position:absolute; width:100%; height:100%; margin:0px; padding:0px; left:0px; right:0px;z-index:1"> <img src="YourIMG.Jpg" width="100%" height="100%"></div> <div style="z-index:2; position:absolute; margin:0px; padding:0px; height:100%; width:100%; overflow:scroll;"> <p>nbsp</p> <p>THIS IS THE CONTENT</p> </div> The DIV one works, but created unnecessary scroll bars on the page. The javascript one did nothing and gave me a white background. The issue with the mouse navi is the way it does not get close enough to the mouse. I'd like it to center right on top of the mouse, rather then to the bottom right of it. Yeah I know that seems a lil insignificant, but I have my reasons (I want to have a gif image of something air humping the mouse, for example). The code for that is pretty long for that, and I totally stole the code from shugo-chara.com xp , but I will avoid posting that here, so view the page source on my test page to see it. It's everything from div id="rr1Star" to the end of the script tag right after it. The possibility of figuring out the background thing myself.... kinda slim, but this forum is by far the quickest way to reaching my goal. The possibility of figuring out the mouse navi positioning.... 0% sweatdrop After previewing this page, I found that the nbsp in the second code box was replaced with a , so I simply typed nbsp. It is supposed to have the & character before it, and ; right after it. |

fofamit it sounds like you need to use a demultiplexer. You can use a tool like MKV extract: (free tool) http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVExtractGUI this will allow you to extract the audio file you want, subtitle (if it's a soft sub) and video file separately. In order to merge the files you want back together you'll need a multiplexer like MKV merge found here: (free tool) http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/ Unrelated and irrelevant... but thanks anyways ^_^ I found mkvtoolnix a couple days ago, and it is exactly what I need to use Videora without dealing with the subs and duel audio. Do everybody a favor and read before you post... even my FIRST post has that info, and clearly states that I only need to find out what to use in Videora. |

Seranaiko what exactly are you doing? are you burning CDs to play on the xbox or are you just trying to play the video directly from the xbox via your internet connection? that's what I do and it only lets me play .avi But umm... about the Videora thing... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/I8AB2Day/profiles.png Which one of those should I convert the videos to, is what I am asking. Its the last step to figuring it all out 3nodding |

The Last Rydian WMP can't play MP4. Just use WMV(9). Right... good to know ^_^ So what profile should I use, then? Previous post remains ignored... |

The Last Rydian Bitrate is different between codecs, an MP3 at 96kbps sounds worse than a WMV at 96kbps, for an easy example. Video bitrate usually needs to be much larger than audio bitrate because it's simply a lot more data. That seems you're fine at the language selection... screenshot the settings that produced horrible results. As for getting rid of the subs, it's late and I'm tired and I CBA to look into it tonight, I'll remember when I come back to this thread. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/I8AB2Day/BadResultsWithSubs.png Those results won't allow it to play in WinAmp, and the soft subs still appear. It is also kinda low quality. So yeah, I just need to figure out bitrate, I think. I might also use something other then AVI, since how the next program will fix that anyways. Whatever gives me the best results here ^_^ If there is a way to remove the subs and the Japanese audio, then I might just be able to jump right to the X-Box 360 conversion. [EDIT] HEY! I found something that did the trick, allowing me to skip SUPER entirely ^_~ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/I8AB2Day/SOLUTIONFOUND.png Now I just need to know which profile to use in Videora. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/I8AB2Day/profiles.png |

The Last Rydian The audio track would be which language, you might have to try it twice to get the right one. The bitrate sort of determines the quality, if you lower it that part of the file (audio or video) will lose some quality, if you raise it it lets you keep some more quality, there's no set numbers since the bitrate and quality of the source files can widely vary, so again you may need to screw around. Yeah but... umm... is it really necessary to "screw around" when I already have all the details for the videos? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/I8AB2Day/Mushishi1.png I'm sure that tells me what it is already set to, and it appears to be the most important part. Also, when I did try it myself, the video looked really horrible and had subs on it. How do I get rid of the subs? |

The Last Rydian Well then use SUPER to convert (drag the file into SUPER when it's open to add it to the list) the video to something more normal (like WMV9 or AVI with Xvid), select the audio track and such, and after that's done converting toss THAT file into videora. Yes, it's converting twice, but honestly, on a TV you won't notice quality defects in a video that you'd notice on a monitor. TVs suck compared to monitors. Using SUPER, I was able to find the closest settings for everything I could. I am not sure what to set the bit rate for the audio and the video, though, because the details do not say what they are (or at least they do not present it the same way while in the menu). I think the video is 1626 Kbps, but I am not sure. No idea idea what the audio is... also, do I need to select an audio stream track # thing? I was thinking this had something to do with the dual audio... the English audio is listed as Audio #1 in the details. |

The Last Rydian http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/Xbox360/ Thanks SO MUCH biggrin This is so perfect... but can you tell me which profile to use? I want the best quality possible... all the details on the video I will be converting is in my first post. I am trying Xvid 720p 2048kbps Stereo/192kbps as my profile at the moment. [EDIT] Totally failed... the video was completely messed up when I tried to play it in MPC or Zoom, and didn't play at all in WinAmp. I'd like to know what I should convert it to using this program, because it looks like it should work great. A possible issue I have is the fact that the video is an MKV with duel audio and soft subs. I want it without the subs and with the English audio. |
