Ok, so I'm 30, enjoy long moonlit strolls on the beach and playing with my kids. I play TF2 and L4D (tho not much recently). I asked my wife for help on describing myself, and she said, "I don't know, you program... and then you program some more."
Hrm.. sounds serious. I must be a programmer. It's a lot of fun working at Gaia and developing new features that I'm sure will be enjoyed. I enjoy software systems design and keeping up to date on the languages I know.
As of late I've been enamored with the
Boost Library. Particularly the
ASIO portion of it. While going through some of the tutorials today I found a very neat little utility in boost called
bind.
Some of my other favorite pastimes include reading white-papers about pathfinding, trying to figure out how to apply the funnel algorithm efficiently to a polygon, and how to update my avatar in the bar to be a box, instead of what it's currently dressed up as.
I've been playing zOMG lately and am trying to beat the other dev's to the end boss. I think that javafun was the first one of us devs to make it to the end with bronstahd in second place. I'm trying to get parts for sheries(sp?) twin in bassken lake but they're not dropping. I may be too high a level to get the drop from the wolfs.. dunno. I'll have to keep trying.
