 Lukas watched Raven with concern in his eyes. He knew something was amiss, but he couldn't tell what it was. There was her coffin of course, but that didn't seem like the real reason she was like this. No, it was something else. He motioned for the servants to leave the room. As soon as they were gone, he walked over and stood next to her at the window. "Raven, What's wrong? You can tell me." |

Lukas's eyes widened. He knew that vampires needed their coffins in order to keep themselves safe while they slept during the day, but he didn't think Raven had one, since he didn't see her with it at the shop. Without her coffin, Raven was as good as dead. Unless there was another was a dark place that she could sleep during the day. "Back at the shop? Are you sure it's still there? Do we need to go back?" |

Lukas was still in the library reading his book as the night hours began to creep up on him. He closed his book and replaced it on the shelf where he'd gotten it from. Then he walked out of the library and moved out of the North Wing, using the glow from his wings to light the way. Maybe he'd go and check in on the servants and Raven. Yes, that was a good idea. He walked toward the East wing. When he found Raven, she and a few of the servants were busy cleaning. "Wow, you don't waste any time getting to work, do you Raven?" |

Lukas watched Raven until she had disappeared around a corner then headed off toward the North Wing's library. The library was his favorite place in the entire mansion because it had the perfect atmosphere that allowed one to become immersed in the books that they might be reading. It was full of books from all genres, but Lukas' favorite was fantasy. He'd sit in his favorite chair near the window and read for hours on end, often into the late night. He pulled a book down from the fantasy section and went to his favorite chair and began reading. He made a mental note to himself not to make Raven clean this place. No, that was a task he'd reserve for the servants. |

Lukas looked back at Raven and smirked."It's not much, but you're welcome to explore if you like. I'm not going to put you to work like other masters usually do. You can go anywhere you like. My home is your home. There's a garden maze in the back, and a courtyard out to the west. He indicated the locations as he spoke. "You can pick any bedroom you like in the North, South, and West wings. The East Wing is the servant's quarters. The biggest room in the North Wing is my bedroom. That's off limits without my express permission. Finally, the library which is also in the North Wing, is free for all. Please, go ahead and make yourself at home. This is your home too, if you want it to be.". |

 Adelai didn't move or bat an eye as the demonic creature swooped down to land near "Nessy" and himself. Another possibly hostile creature invading his territory? What was going on in the world? "Even though you don't want my help, I won't lt anything happen to you. However, this person here, whatever he is, is different. Who are you, and what are you, stranger?" He asked. Lukas smiled as he began their descent. "Well then, this'll be a change for the better, now won't it? Instead of sleeping out in the wilderness where you could be attacked by dangerous creatures, you'll have your own comfy little room in the mansion. I'll give you whatever you need, and make sure you're comfortable. I'll even be your donor if you need one. Just promise me you won't try to escape. I've had too many companions take advantage of my kindness and run away. It's kind of the reason why I haven't been a very successful master..." He walked up to the huge front doors and pulled out a key, opening the doors and throwing them wide. "Welcome to Lukas Manor!" |

At Raven's okay, Lukas flapped powerfully, taking the two off the ground in a gust of wind. Raven was as light as a feather, so he had no trouble taking her higher into the sky and finally taking off to the west, heading for the mountains where his mansion was located. "So Raven, have you ever lived in the mountains?" |
