♣Alyss Barklight♣  Alyss had returned to class after sending Mr. Fluffles back to Hell. He would be safe from any more Guardian attacks there, able to rest and recover. Speaking of Guardians and the like, her encounter with the Darkness Guardian had cost her the element of disguise. While it didn't matter that he had seen her (he would've detected who she truly was anyway, despite his youth) but that a Chosen had seen her posed a threat to her goals. She growled to herself, scratching a hole through the paper she was writing for class. Between classes, she stopped in the bathroom. She splashed some water on her face, but wiped it off quickly. Too much contact with pure water for too long would cause rust. Then, her bird flew through the air duct. "Aah, there you are," she said as it landed in her palm. "What do you have to show me?" The bird replayed images in her mind. She seethed as it played the car incident. "Perfect, another mess to clean up," she groaned. Her palm closed around the tiny automaton, crushing it into a pancake with a screech and the sound of twisting metal. "I should learn to stop giving these things free will." She sighed and conjured up another spy, a spider, from some of her own blood. The Bloodmatons, as she called them, had no mind of their own since they came from her own body. She used them rarely, however, because they hurt to create and creating too many could cause iron deficiency within her. "Watch Zackary Rhodes," she commanded darkly. "Only watch. Until I give further commands." The spider hopped out of her palm and skittered across the floor as she went back to class.  |

Zebeki Callus  ((@Alexi: Awww! : ( B-But he wouldn't do that. Well, eventually maybe he'll get the chance to prove himself.)) Zebeki lay on the bench where Takeshi had left him. He was losing blood fast and was too weak to stop it himself. Damn. With powers like that, he thought. Whoever she's hunting is in a lot of trouble. He tried to sit up and fell back immediately. Looks like I'm not getting off this bench myself. "Cal," he called to thin air, surprised by how weak his voice was. He waited a few moments, bleeding and slowly blacking out. Then, a tiny hummingbird-like creature appeared from the air. No flash of light, no sparkles, no magic portal. Just not there one moment, there the next. Cal flitted over his master, assessing the damage. He moved slowly over each wound, removing the metal shards with his beak and shedding a single tear. The process took some time, but eventually, each wound closed up, a few leaving tiny scars, and Zebeki managed to sit up. Back in his smaller form, he still felt dizzy and tired from the loss of blood, but at least he wouldn't die from it. "Thanks, pal," he muttered, looking up at the clock. Now would be his free period, according to his schedule. He wondered where Takeshi went. Isn't there a nurse's office or something in this school? He could've at least dumped me there... he thought. And there was still the issue with Alex. She was far away now, he could feel it. "I need to find another Guardian," he instructed himself. Perhaps they could help him with his dilemma. He wandered groggily back to the cafeteria. He felt a strong energy coming from there.  |

{Kura Shirakiku} {*~*~*~*} Kura entered the auditorium of just in time to hear the announcement about dorm rooms. On her way there, she idled about the campus. When she heard there would only be five people in her class, she had imagined a small school in the middle of nowhere. While Gears High fit the description to some degree, it wasn't at all what she had pictured. In fact, she herself found it rather large. Perhaps because she was from Nebraska. Perspectives change depending on where you grow up. She dragged her single suitcase up a couple (long) flights of stairs, got lost in a few of the hallways, and finally located her room after asking a janitor where it was. She fished through her purse for the key and opened the door. The room itself was plain and a little drafty. She turned down the AC, then flung her suitcase onto her bed and surveyed the walls. Maybe I should do the same thing here, Kura thought. Back home, the walls of her room were covered with odd clippings from newspapers, books, photos, natural items she had collected on trips, etc. Starting today. Inside her purse, she found the school's brochure, a pair of small scissors, and a roll of tape. Cutting out a few of the pictures, such as the school itself and pictures of past students, she carefully taped each one to the white wall above her bed. Satisfied with her work, she unpacked the rest of her belongings and returned to the auditorium where she sat and read. She wondered if anyone would talk to her, but didn't expect anyone to because she wasn't making an effort to be noticed. {*~*~*~*} |

Zebeki Callus At first, Zebeki just stood there, dumbfounded for the second time today. He had expected her to attack or maybe leave a monster for him to deal with. He turned to Takeshi and muttered, "Well...that was weird." Then, he felt it; his blood began to boil. He felt like he was being stabbed by millions of tiny needles from the inside out. His mouth filled with blood and vomit, and he coughed up both as well as several pieces of iron through a scream of agony. His vision swan as more iron broke through his skin. Eventually, the pain became too much and he collapsed on the ground. How in the hell...? he thought before finally falling unconscious.  |

♣Alyss Barklight♣ Alyss barked, "You call that calming?! He threw my Mr. Fluffles into a wall!" She turned back to Zebeki and growled, "You will pay for this!" However, now was not the time to transform; with a Chosen in their presence, revealing herself now could jeopardize the mission. Her mood changed; she smiled sweetly at both boys. Waltzing past them, she gathered her pet in her arms and said, "I don't have time to deal with this. But we will meet again...O Guardian of Darkness." Then, she and Mr. Fluffles disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. The Guardian would experience a nasty surprise in three...two...one. |
