Zuko is too nice for his own good. He needs to know when to give an a** kicking to someone and when not to.) I am not too nice! I'm perfectly capable of giving a good a** kicking! -frowns- I was merely smart enough to realize that if I'd truly hurt him.... most likely it would have been me carted off in cuffs. -_-;; About my mother and father- Mother never really talked about it, but I do remember a time when things were okay between them. I mean.... they were never like normal husband and wife of course, and that's partly because they were not your normal set of people. Fire lord and Fire lady and as such, things like decorum and professionalism was always highly necessary. It was an arranged marriage. Such a thing occurs quite commonly in higher-class families. I'm certain that if I hadn't left, the same would have happened to me. -wrinkles nose in distaste- Still, many, many loving couples have resulted from such arrangements... I'll never really know whether or not he actually loved her.... I like to think he did, in his own way at least. I like to think she loved him too. They used to share a bedroom too. Still, things changed for some reason during the course of their relationship and father got distant, cold and violent. -shrugs- *frowns*So if you were to become Firelord, you would always be concerned about what was proper decorum too? I am glad that an arranged marriage was not your fate. My Gran Gran was supposed to marry the now master waterbender of the Northern Water Tribe but she ran away rather than marry a man she did not love. I can imagine if you had not made the choice you made, you would have ended up with Mai or someone like her. Thank God fate led you away from that. ~shivers~ I do see what you are saying about the arranged marriages not being so bad for some. Perhaps, at one time, your parents did love eachother. Maybe the changes signified that he finally wanted power over love. |

I just don't think about my actions sometimes. I try to, but often my anger gets in control. It's a trait many firebenders have. I apologize for it. He was such a pompus crackmonkey.) (I liked him at first in Jet until he revealed himself to be a complete a*hole and then in the episodes with Zuko and Katara I still really didn't like him but I was disappointed that he was killed off without having him ever figuring out that not all firebenders are bad.) (At least he helped them in the end, but yeah, I wish he could have died knowing that not all are bad. I mean, how could you call someone like Iroh bad? Zuko is totally misunderstood and Jeong Jeong has realized what the firenation is doing is wrong. They're awesome!) (If only he could have met Jeong Jeong.
