If you just keep smiling...

A rather short girl stood at the large, bustling train station. This 172 year old girl's name was Dominique Marie Ethelstone, and you could see by her expression that she had yet not been to the massive London train station that was quite popular nowadays. The train would travel to the Seaside, where a boat would be waiting, and by ship Dominique would travel to America, or more specifically, New York.

The Smoke from the trains collided in the air and made it ashy and clogged. Dominique held a handkerchief to her face as she made her way into line. Sitting on a old wooden bench, it was a small thrill it was to be outside again at last, in plain view. Dominique crossed her legs. And uncrossed them shortly. And crossed them again. Minutes passed. When IS that train going to come? i've been waiting here for quite a while... am I at the right station?" she wondered. Looking at her gold watch, she found that she was on time. Maybe this wasn't the right station?

"No..." She said to herself quietly. "Should I ask someone if I'm at the right station? Would it be too risky? If only..." She thought frustratingly. Her brown eyes shifted over to the elderly lady sitting on the other side of the old wooden bench. Working up some nerve, Dominique walked slowly to the lady. Finding her voice, (she hadn't spoke properly in ages) The girl said, "Um, Pardon Miss? Do you know if this station is going to be due for the London Express at 12:45?"
"Sorry?"
Dominique repeated her question, her voice faltering slightly.
"Oh yes, I'm pretty sure the train should be coming soon. Is you watch wrong? Mine says 11:45"
"Is my watch wrong? Um, I dunno, Miss."
Dominique found her voice.

At that minute, the lady's train came, and she was gone in a loud puff of grayish black smoke from the trains. Dominique sighed. It wasn't her fault that her watch was late. She sat down on the bench and crossed and uncrossed her feet. Adjusting her hat, Dominique looked outside into the gray London streets. There weren't a single cloud in the sky.
"Maybe they're might be clouds in America..."
She thought drowsily when her train came abruptly, its black smoke lingering in the air. Dominique stepped on to the train and sealed her fate.

{sorry for not posting in a while)

Xerxes and Nico were lost in the woods. A berry gathering expedition gone wrong, they supposed.
Nico sat on a stunp and looked at the freakishly tall trees. Xerxes swallowed. "Don't worry, Nico, They'll find us soon...i think" Nico looked at the ground and sighed. he ate one of the berries he collected and lay down in the grass, waiting for morning to come.

If you just keep smiling...

Dominique Marie Ethelstone stared out of the large window in her room, Her chin cupped in her hands, watching the rain fall. The rain dropped in pouring buckets, and sheets of it were coming down. It cleansed the dirt and grime on the streets at least. But she groaned inwardly, and wished and wished the rain would stop. And wished she didn't have to wait another 70 years to play with anyone. And wished she had never ade that stupid choice in the first place. It was enough to drive someone insane, being in a rather large mansion by yourself. You had to do all the cooking and cleaning. With no maids or cleaning ladies. "Not that they would remember to clean this place, or even who hired them in the first place..." Dominique grumbled her thoughts to herself. She had too much experience of being forgotten.

"Maybe it's time for a change..."
Dominique thought carefully. "I mean a fresh start. This mansion holds too many memories in the first place. Start over, travel a lot. Meet some... no, it would be too risky. but would it? make one close companion, one who could keep a secret? or maybe find one that has a similar experience like me? Maybe, but the chances are one in a quadrillion."
It was a tedious thing to make these decisions, but at least it gave her something new to think about instead of watching the rain fall. She rummaged around and fished out a bag of sour fruits.

Popping a cherry in her mouth, Dominique pulled out a sheet of drawing paper. In big letters, she wrote "Potential Places To Visit" and below it she wrote many different places to visit, from India to Thailand to Brazil to America to... Dominique looked carefully at her large letters "America." Underneath she wrote, California, Massachusetts, Colorado, Ohio, New york... She stared at New york. Ok, New York... She circled New York with her ballpoint pen.
Next to New York, Dominique wrote September 28th, Moving day. "Alright, at least that's taken care of. If I don't like New York, I don't like anything." She thought.

Glancing her dark brown eyes in the direction of the tall glass window, Dominique noticed that the Rain had stopped. "Rain in late July is always like that...falling in dumping, drenching buckets and then over in 5 minutes..." The girl reflected. Deciding to go outside, Dominique pulled on a white summer dress, and walked outside, something she hadn't done in years. Peering around on lookout for strangers, Dominique took a few steps from the mansion. The cool, refreshing air felt comforting on her white skin, and the shining sun, partly covered by a white cloud, shone down on the glimmering tracks the rain had made, making its own colorful rainbow on the sidewalk. Dominique walked across a dark puddle, stomping it with a splash. "Will I miss Here?" She said, not realizing she had spoke her thoughts aloud. "What will I miss here?" The question echoed in her mind, coming back when she tried to stuff it into the back of her head. "What will I miss here?" She thought. "What will I miss here?"

      >My deep, dark story Living in the late 1600's, Reina lived in Ipswich, Massachusetts right in the middle of the Salem witch trials. When Reina was two years old, her mother, accused of witchery, was hanged along with the rest of the innocent women. Reina's father took Reina away to hide, because if a "witch" had a child the child was a witch herself. Reina was taken very, very far away, until her own father dumped her in the middle of nowhere where an elderly couple would take care of her. Reina missed her father terribly, until she heard news that he was killed in a raging fire that burned their home. At that point, Reina became so overcome with sadness, that she decided to drown herself in the black currents of the river. Diving into the cold deep water, she stayed near the bottom as the water filled her lungs. Finally, with a gasping fate, she went unconscious. In her state of unconsciousness, she dreamed of the choice, either to live forever or to die like this in the river. Knowing the agony of her almost drowning, Reina chose the immortality, and she was rushed to the riverside with a gasping breath. She was alive! But she didn't realize what a choice she had made.

      >My deep, dark story Edwin was born the only son and heir to some nobility in England. He grew up rather spoiled and obnoxious, always getting what he wanted and using everything to his advantage. He didn't pay any mind to how his behavior affected others until one fateful evening. Edwin was eating a late night snack his kitchen, not knowing it had been poisoned by a servant, leaving him writhing on the floor moments later. The Being revealed itself, offered his The Choice, and he took it. Being an overly indulgent person, he figured there was too much in life he hadn't experienceed, despite his many outstanding accomplishments. Too late did he realize what a mistake he had made. Due to this rude awakening, he has a rather cynical personality now a days, often seeming dark and often times a bit twisted (perverted). In reality, he isn't a bad person, merely lacking the basic love that most humans acquired from their parents or guardians at an early age. He moved to St. Petersburg a while back, hoping its cold atmosphere might somehow miraculously numb his ever present pain and inner suffering.

        >>>My hearts desire None yet.
        >>>Only by Affiliation;; Few, seeing as he uses people like a toddler uses toys.
        >>>Hide & Seek;; Edwin is quite the outdoorsman, despite his constant roaming around the city. He also enjoys music and candlelight; being a romantic at heart.
