GundamIsGod Well, I hope everyone noticed the big changes to the front page!! ^_^; I'm still working on it. But I do want to direct everyone's attention to my notice:
"Yes, that photo is of me, and yes, my sign sucks... SO! I'm considering a few things. What do you all think about making me your own signs, send 'em to me and I'll print it out, take a photo of me holding your sign and... give you some kind of reward? I haven't decided whether the reward will be Gaia gold or something special at the convention (that would mean that if you send in a sign, you HAVE to be going to the con). I'm still thinking about it. I really would like a better sign though. I'm an artist, but when it comes to calligraphy/writing... I SUCK. Let me know what ya'll think about this."
So... sign making contest? I'm thinking the guidelines should be that the sign HAS to say "Katsucon 15/2009/09" on it somewhere, and make it big/noticeable.

I think that's a great idea! I already made my sign! xd (I can't draw and my handwriting isn't too great, but oh well. I'm sure others can do something much better. xd ) I'll PM you my sign. 3nodding

Yep, I'm going! This will be my 3rd year. 3nodding I'm hoping I can stay at a hotel this year. I didn't cosplay my first year, but I cosplayed as Luke fon Fabre (long hair version) last year on Friday and Saturday (didn't cosplay on Sunday). This year I plan on being Luke on Friday, Alice from Tales of Symphonia 2 on Saturday, and Mikuru Asahina on Sunday. If I end up picking up my pre-reg badge on Thursday, then I'll probably wear my Tohru Honda cosplay. 3nodding

I'm not sure. I do really want to stay at a hotel this year. The past two years my friends and I have relied on carpools from our parents and they didn't want us staying at a hotel. This year I'll be 18 and should have no problem with staying in a hotel if I could get some people to stay with me and agree to split the cost of the hotel. How much does it usually cost per night?
At the very least, I'm going to drive up to Otakon and get my pre-reg badge on Thursday. I'm sick of spending my entire Friday morning waiting to pick it up. D<

I didn't think I could go to Otakon 2009, but now I'm fairly sure that I can! biggrin I'm so excited! I had so much fun the last two years and I even found Dee on accident this past year. XD Never did find D4rk, though. Maybe I can find him this year!
I've already decided who I'm going to be! (Although it's subject to change...but I'm pretty sure this is what it'll be.) I'll be bringing back my Luke fon Fabre costume because it's extremely comfortable and I love it so much. I'm also going to be Alice from Tales of Symphonia 2 and Mikuru from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. 3nodding
My friends are all like, "WE SHOULD BE IN THE MASQUERADE!" and I'm like, "Ha. Guys, we're not really all that witty..." xd

xd I'd skip my Friday classes if I was in college, but I'm in high school and rely on my parents and friends for transportation and I already know what their response would be if I asked if I could take a day off to go to an anime convention. I have a bazillion cosplays I want to do. xd But I've done Luke fon Fabre. Next I plan to do Tohru Honda. After that I'm going to do several Mikuru cosplays and then probably Nino from Fire Emblem because she's so adorable. Hmm...perhaps after that I'll do Akira Kogami and Konata from Lucky Star.
