Edited: Rin let a gentle laugh escape her lips; a sound that had not graced her in quite some time. Rin stretched her arm muscles slightly before answering the question of Mercy:
"Probably take that persons limbs off", Rin replied with a small grin. She could almost picture the expression on Corvus's face if someone dared to make such a friendly gesture towards him. It would probably be a mixture of amusment, rage and shock. Corvus seemed to remind her of human ice cube, somewhat cold and unfeeling to those around him. For some reason, it saddened Rin to know that Corvus would probably never show affection to her or Shiroi. Speaking of the young wolf warrior, Rin glanced at Shiroi who seemed to be getting quite impatient like the other Khaev soliders. "Rin", put in Corvus, suddenly. "Can I have a word with you?". The swordsman glared particulary at Mercy and only spared Shiroi a glance. Rin shifted her gaze between the two warriors for a second and bit her lip slightly. What on earth did Corvus want now? Whenever the swordsman wanted something, it was usually for his own needs rather than her own. Dark red eyes narrowed slightly before nodding gently. "Sure thing", Rin answered. ((Yeah, I can understand that. Had a huge family thing already )) |

Rin looked fearfully at Endar with her pale blue eyes, her hand clutching the amulet gently with gloved fingers. She trembled at the very thought of being attacked by the Imperial, the Dark Brotherhood was more than enough for the two assassin but the legion? That was just a sick twist of Irony. Rin looked down at the patch of ground once more, checking for any evidence to who could have placed the amulet there.
"I don't know. This really screws things up for us", Rin replied, holding the amulet up in the light slightly. She had heard tales of the Amulet of Kings and the Divine Nines from Vicente before Lucien had forbidden the vampire from "polluting" her mind any futher. RIn glanced back at her companion again and noticed the feeling of unease that was planted on his face. He must have been thinking along the same lines as she had. |

Rin let out a small gasp and stepped backwards from the bushes, her small Breton body trembling unexpectedly. No, it could not be true. There was no way in oblivion that such a thing was possible. Sithis must have been jerking them both around again.
Lying in amoungst the moist dirt of the path sat the famous Amulet of Kings, shining back at Rin with all its royal glory. But that couldn't be right. The emporer had been assassinated only recently and there had been no reports of the amulet missing. In fact, the BHC had mentioned that the amulet had been hidden away for safe keeping until the council had come to a solutuion. Pale blue eyes widened at the mere sight of it, her heart suddenly racing wildly beneath her chest. With a gloved hand, Rin reached down and plucked the amulet from its hiding place and held in up in front of the red eyed stare of Endar. "C-check it out", Rin's voice barely above a whisper. |

Edited:"Bleh. I missed that chapter of my life", Was the reply of Rin to her wolfy comrade before looking up at Mercy who had ruffled her white haired locks in a very friendish kind of way. Rin would have been lying if she said she was repulsed at his touch. Quite the opposite actually. She enjoyed it. After her long months following Corvus, Rin had begun to crave human contact more than usual. The guy seemed to treat her like she was nothing but a bother and was far too wrapped up in his own little word to lend a kind word or ear. Shiroi was lovely and fun to be with however, the pair still had a fragile friendship that could have been easily shattered. Rin openly glared the Khaev soliders who had arrived and were pestering them to hurry up.
As if just to spite both Corvus and the other soliders, Rin certainly took her time preparing herself for the hike back. The bound blades on her hips pulsed gently, as if responding to its masters emotions and Rin found herself gently pushing the large hand of Mercy off of her small head. "You always this "touchy feely" with people you have just met or am I just special", the flame user remarked, exchanging a playful grin. |
