Some of you may recall last year’s IRL (in-real-life) Gaia Member Appreciation Night – it was a “party” where the Gaia company softball team played for its users and users from all over the US came out to cheer us on. One user even came out all the way from Florida! eek Here's the event's video if you missed it.

How many of you would like to see us do that again? We’d do it again on Tues, May 26, 2009, the day after FanimeCon ends here in San Jose, CA. It’d be at a new location around 15 minutes away from FanimeCon.

If we build it, will you come? And if you can’t come, do you still want to see it happen so that you can cheer us on, online? Let us know here.

EDIT 4/15: It's been decided! We're going to do this on Tuesday, May 26, at 6pm. Unfortunately, the softball team doesn't have a private plane to play at other locations. crying
Many users have been posting that they'd love to see a live webcast. That'd be cool, but we don't know how to do that. By chance, any of you who'll be there know how and want to stream it live for the rest of the Gaia Community? PM me if interested. I think we found a way to webcast this for you -- stay tuned for how to watch the webcast.

EDIT 4/20: Location will be in Sunnyvale, CA which is only 15 mins away from where we had it last year (more specific details later).
Come dressed-up in costume and make signs for use in the bleachers since there will be lots of contests. And prizes galore!

EDIT 5/6: The web cast test went extremely well. So well that we'll have more "practice web casts" each Tuesday night between now and May 26th. And some fans created a new Gaians Gone Wild! Fan Thread. Check it out here.

EDIT 5/13: When you get to the location, remember that we'll be on Field #1 (it'll be hard to miss us -- we'll be the big, loud crowd at the first field on the right). Field #1 is right next to the cafeteria, where you can buy and bring out the food/drinks to the bleachers. Yay! Outside food/drinks are not allowed to be brought in though. And remember to bring a light jacket, since it can get a little windy there. Exact address and "gate entry password" will be posted here next week. biggrin

For those who can't make it to this party in person, you'll be able to watch and participate via the web cast! blaugh We're going to create some online games/contests for you too, so that you can follow along the night's event.

The party is less than 2 weeks away! So in the upcoming days, we'll be adding to this page:
- Cosplay contest (for those who'll be there)
- Best GGW signage contest (for those who'll be there)
- A pool you can participate in, on what the final score of the game will be (for those who'll be there as well as those watching via the web cast)
- Sweepstakes contest (win big prizes with no work) (for web cast viewers)
- GGW players' trivia contest (for web cast viewers)
- more whacky, fun things we can come up with! (for those who'll be there as well as those watching via the web cast)

EDIT 5/15: When you get to the gate of the sports complex, give them the uber-secret password “GGW For the Win!” and you’ll get in for $2 instead of the regular $3 price. Gaia staff will have red colored name tags and users will have blue colored name tags, for easy identification.

Hi again Gaians,

It seems like I’ve been posting a lot today. blaugh

FanimeCon is coming right around the corner (May 22 – 25 in San Jose, CA) and I know many of you won’t be able to make it to our Panel on that Sunday night. So, the next best thing to being there, is, well, watching it live on Gaia’s web cast!

Who wants us to web cast it for you? It won’t be easy making the arrangements this late in the game, but if there’s enough interest, we’ll make it happen. So let me know if you’ll tune in, on Sunday, May 25th, which is actually the day before Memorial Day, from 6 – 8 PM PDT. How fun, over a 3-day weekend!

EDIT 5/16: Ok, yesterday, we worked out the technical issues at the panel location and we've decided that we will in fact be web casting this for everyone to watch. Yaaaay!!! Not only that, but during the Q&A session with the users who are physically there, we'll be able to take some of your questions since many of you can't be there in person. We'll take questions live during the web cast as well as some that are posted in advance (as many as time allows). So ask your question here and we'll pick the ones that are most interesting to all of our users.

And yes, Lanzer, Qixter, L0cke, and many others will be there!!! Me too, working the camera. I hope to see you there, either in person or via the web cast.

where it says "about me" and "contact" and "comments" and all the other titles, how do i change the color of it? right not its like blue, please tell me how to change it D;
