To me, it sounds like you are trying to justify it to yourself by saying everyone else does it, too. Don't fall into either of those traps:
Trap 1: Everyone else is just like me.
They aren't! Stopping thinking it and you'll be a better person for it.
Trap 2: There's something wrong with me.
There isn't! Whatever you felt is perfectly natural. I'm not saying you have to act on it, but stop being ashamed and stop looking for excuses.
