Brothern Poysonful Cuppycake But, ********, they screwed up. My mom and I are sure someone's getting shot tonight.
I'm from the Bay, so this pisses me off a LOT. All the gay people (I don't mean that derogatorily, sorry if it feels so) are just going to have to fight harder for their rights. D;
Hardly. What the whole debate came down to was whether or not the CA Supreme Court wanted to uphold the CA Constitution, or if it wanted to figuratively send it through a paper shredder.
By not upholding Prop. 8, the Supreme Court would have officially ruled the Constitution invalid.
So what?
Someone's got to.

GreenAnt Your bible says this:
Quote: 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
That sure sounds to me like god would disapprove of using pot. Of course if you're female it might be okay, since he only says men aren't allowed to defile it.
As for the idea that god made it, therefore its okay - well did god also not make the tree of knowledge and its apples, which got humanity kicked out of eden?
Now prove smoking pot is the same as "defiling."

Valgaror the Vicious I broke my foot at a concert, once, and then went to ihop with a bunch of people and ate waffles, and then fell asleep in a hotel with all my clothes and boots still on.
Good times.

Neur0tically MAI Now being of Christian faith, I try my best to follow what is good and I use the Bible as my guideline for how to live life and best follow Christ.
Now I've been wondering lately. I smoke the MJ on a social basis. I never smoke around my son, I still take care of him and never neglect him, I only take about 1-3 hits, I never hurt anyone or myself when high nor have I ever broken any laws.
Is smoking it still bad? I've met several Christians that smoke cigarettes and even more who drink socially (some even on a more regular basis).
Discuss: What do you think God would feel about marijuana? Which is a natural plant unlike alcohol which is man made.
Biblical references please if you have them.
I want to have a serious discussion now.
After the New Testament, God does not specifically condemn the consumption or use of any substance for recreational use. Christianity strives instead to teach personal responsibility and moderation in all things.
Jesus was clearly the original hippie. Besides, what other religion officially endorses consumption of alcoholic beverages before noon? whee

Valgaror the Vicious Concerts are the same for me, only... everyone punches each other, drops each other on the floor, or pushes each other- but it seems like 20 arms reach down and literally pick you up if you fall. I don't like touching people, normally, but at a concert I'll be sandwiched between sweaty people and not give a s**t. Heh, maybe everyone moving to the same noise is as close to a religious experience as I'm going to get.

Exactly! You see? And what is a convention? Standing in lines with people who haven't bathed in 3 days so you can spend money on useless crap and "edgy" teeshirts?
Thrilling. Really. Seriously. I'm so, so attracted by this idea.

The thing that really, REALLY bugs me is the assumption that helping people overcome social anxiety is so easy, one solution fits everybody.
Obviously, everyone can enjoy and appreciate an anime convention! OBVIOUSLY!
....except that I actually went to one once as a favor to a friend and spent the entire time sitting against a wall trying VERY HARD not to physically get up and strangle every other person who came within my view.
Know what rteally awesomely helped me with social anxiety though?
Apocalyptica concerts.
Find me what these two things have in common. I dare you.

Sango12592 Some people can just feel okay with either. They're neither greedy or lusty. It's like saying you're greedy for liking two different flavors of ice cream.
QUOTED FOR TRUTH.
Flabbergasted Breakdancer Tinkerbellmeg2 OtherAlice I have had more than one person tell me they think that bi-sexual's are greedy, or lusty. They think that bi-sexuals just can't choose.
Of course these people at the time didn't know my own orientation.
I am bi, and I disagree. For me I don't look at gender. If I fall in love with a girl, then so be it. I have had feelings for girls in the past, and it never phased me, because it's how I'm wired. But at the same time I won't call my self a lesbian, because I am also sensitive to guys. I am actually in a long term relationship with a guy.
I've never said anything to the people who have said those things, because I respect their opinion.
What do you guys think? Am I greedy? Do you have issues with how you feel? Do you have issues with the term bi-sexual? Or the gay community in all?
I want to know. I am very curious.
Please no rude comments. Share your opinion, but remember it is your opinion, not the final say.
My views on it.....I'm straight. I know people that are bi, I'm friends with them. Personally, I think it's gross and disgusting but if that's what you wanna do then go do it. I think gay people should get the same rights as us, but you're obviously going to be viewed differently.
I also think you choose to be gay/lesbian/bi. I have no facts for that and I won't find proof because it's my opinion. But, just because you're bi, why would that make you greedy? Lmao. That's an idiotic statement, I have no idea where you can even come up with that haha.
To each his own. (: You know, you could have just said you just don't understand it, you would have come off as less offensive to the ones of us that have tried to "choose" the suposed correct answer and failed. I love how people try to act like they understand things they haven't personally gone through.
ALSO QUOTED FOR TRUTH.
