Gor: Legitimate lifestyle or irresponsible fantasy? Go to post 9225 Chatterbox Mon Nov 05, 2007 4:57 am

I'm sort of figuring out whether you're stupid, or ignorant.

I'm not discussing what is right and proper for a woman. The only one doing that is Ivan, and we're all sorta ignoring him there. Quite honestly, if you're a woman and you're not dominant or submissive, congratulations. Nobody said you had to be either. You can be, despite what this thread may seem, completely normal.

I would like to point out, however, that people CAN be born submissive, and can be born dominant. I've got a submissive personality. Although I can argue, at times, I'm viewed as a flamboyant follower, or boyfriend, to my best friend Micaela. I am a bit of a follower. I follow her around, and I do things she asks me to. But at any rate, the point isn't how great women can be. Women can be fine, and they can be dominant.

Although I do greatly take exception to the implication that men are obsolete. We still like to think we serve some purpose. You may not need us for reproduction, but as people we can be good people.

Pain can be erotic. It can be pleasurable, and you are completely closed-minded if you do not believe so.

There is no way to know if woman or man came first, although in most cases it's man.

But, lewdness aside, I do have to demand an answer to the question of what your obsession is with proving that women can be powerful. The only ones who deny that are Ivan and Tautua. So stop embarassing yourself, please.

I have to second this post. I also back up that it is possible to be both. My behavior and upbringing would be that of a dominant, but I do have tendencies toward the submissive side, a lot of them I believe. Hell, I'd probably quite possibly fit nicely as a slave/kajira due to my personality, if I were in those lifestyles.

I am suddenly happy I have been far too busy with the event here to check in here.....

Woman was made for man, and man was made for the God of the universe.Women are more than mere females. They are females that serve their highest calling in life which is to serve man. Women want to submit and females might want to submit. And all genuine women will feel the Joy that phariseeized females cannot.

Why should I explain anything to BREE? The phariseeized mind cannot understand the answer and cannot even ask the right question.

And it is now clearly obvious that BREE knows nothing of genuine womanly love and devotion and perhaps hates that there are such marvelous beings as men and women.

Poor little BREE, "FORCED" to be born, to breathe, to eat, to exist.

You sniveling little bag of bones. I had every intention of ordering gillian to apologize for her rudeness and for the insult she made, but I think it will stand as is because your existence -is- pitiable. I have tried to remain calm, but calmness is not possible with such an ignorant, arrogant, sniveling, uneducated, illogical piece of gutter tripe as you. Throughout this entire thread you have done nothing but insult, belittle, and degrade anyone who dares to challenge your sick, twisted views. You aren't worthy of the title of man, you're lower than an animal and you have placed yourself there through your hatred of women. It's more than pitiable that you allowed your inability to keep your wife happy to turn you against all women so that you have to twist them into some mold in your mind in order to make yourself better than you really are.

I challenge you, Ivan, to prove even one iota of what you have claimed in this thread. No more of your made up words, like 'phariseeized', no more dodging the request with twisted bible quotes or pieces taken from the Gor books. I want verifiable proof, from a credible source, proving ANYTHING you have claimed in here.

Nothing you spout off is even remotely logical. I also challenge you to actually discuss the topic at hand, the Gorean lifestyle, without using a single quote from one of the books. I challenge you to answer a single request without insulting anyone. Can you do it? If you are indeed older than I am, as I am 35 and, if you WERE with your wife for 25 years you would have to be in your 40's, I challenge you to act like the adult you are and stop acting like a child who cannot handle being asked for proof so he has to insult everyone around him.

Can you do that? If not, I can assure you, from this point forward, if I see a post from you that is even remotely insulting, or spamming, I will be reporting it, as will gillian.

Darius, I say this with all due respect: I love you right now. I couldn't have said any of that better myself.

I do find that...man's lack of activity interesting. Perhaps he is scared to post?
Should we cut out "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance? Go to post 1373 Extended Discussion Mon Nov 05, 2007 1:31 am
We could also stop the bullshit and, you know, make both versions of the Pledge official. People could decide which one they wanted to recite, or if they wanted to recite it at all.

I find this whole thing funny.

I had a teacher last year that was from the middle east. And every so often I was in that class when she had to do her prayers.

What did she do? She covered her head with a veil/scarf.

When I asked her why she needs to wear it (because she wears it when she leaves the school, also), the words 'Because my husband says to' did NOT leave her mouth.

Her answer was that, in her religion, a woman's face and hair are considered beautiful and sacred. Much like virginity is considered sacred to many, to this woman it was her face and hair. She wore it to cover both, as much as possible, because it is something that only her family should be able to see in her mind. I imagine the only reason she didn't wear it during school was due to the fact that we worked with small children, rather then adults. It wasn't oppression. It was just that her beliefs went along those lines. There was no one here telling her she would burn if she didn't.

I also agree with the point about America's reaction. If you are going to get uptight about her conforming to their customs, you sure as hell better not get uptight if someone from another country comes here and doesn't conform to yours.
