2005 Dodge Neon SXT

So, Went out car shopping all day and a awesome silver 2005 Dodge Neon SXT is what I have decided on. Its at a good price, $4600, since he is selling it due to a divorce he is going through. Very good condition, well taken care of. Only about 58k miles on it. Only minor scratches and one seat belt buckle needs to be replaced, which is no problem.

This is My First Vehicle, so I'm really excited and can't wait to deck it out and make it mine.

I want to get some insight on good accessories for the vehicle && your opinions on adding fog lights, spoiler, and perhaps a hood scoop. If so what kinds would look best. I already know what rims I'm going to put on it XD Hyper Black TSW Volcano. Since it's silver I want to give it a darker look like use of monochrome.

Foglights: OK, as long as they aren't blue or purple.
Spoiler: OK, as long as it's the one that comes from the factory.
Hood Scoop: ******** no! Why would you add a hoodscoop to a car that doesn't have the mods to require one, or came with one from the factory?

First, a good set of rims could be considered a performance addition. Lighter, larger, wider rims paired with a good set of tires can be one of the best performance-enhancing purchases avaialble. Better handling, better stopping distance, better launches, less weight..

Secondly, if you're not planning on racing, or really doing any performance driving, but you want a good-looking car, then there's nothing wrong with aesthetically modifying your car.

It all comes down to personal preference in the end. I'd personally avoid large spoilers and hood scoops on a Neon. However, if she wants it, then.. that's her choice.

Aesthetic improvments don't automatically = rice. Rice is tossing a fart can muffler on, and thinking that makes your car fast. Rice is tossing a giant spoiler on your fwd car, and thinking it makes you fast. Rice is tossing a bodykit on, and thinking it makes you fast. Rice is an automatic civic se with a type-r sticker. Rice is thinking you have added performance when you haven't.

I really want to put fog lights and nice rims on it though :3

That is one nice ride. Hmm...as for looks I say just go for whatever you wish, as long as it isn't anything like overdoing it. Can't stand people who rice out a car. ><
