okay get this i found that there was only 1 other species of creatures that thrived all over earth and they both where extremely adaptable........yet the animal died out very rapidly due to their own over breeding ever heard of Lystrasaurus.......some scientist think that when a population gets too great no matter how intelegent that nature will eventually begin to kill of that species due to natural selection........and what happen to the lystrasaurus u ask some believe that a diseas began to float around and killed off the creatures and soon killed them all.........

wouldn't rats, mosquitoes, cockroaches, flies, ants, earthworms, and such also be considered to thrive all over the earth? I suppose they could just have numerous species ie NAmer rats different than Euro-rats.

we almost died out due to our populations from the bubonic plague, but even if it had wiped out everyone in europe/africa/asia, we'd have still had people in america, due to the separation of continents. history would have been so different then lol. imagine explorers from NA, crossing the ocean to find lands uninhabited by man (having had them all killed), but finding castles, and forts, roads and bridges and such. would we have traced our lineage back to Africa? would we have more history intact (less burned)? would they be able to decipher the texts? mmm~... so facinating whee

anyway, your critters were 'all over the earth' because the earth was one continent at the time, and yes humans could all be killed off if some super virus came around. we travel everywhere. however, we would also be more likely to notice such a virus, quarantine, and prevent its spread than your critters did. plus we could use our knowledge to find a cure or vaccine for it, and if all else fails there is enough of us that there is bound to be some portion of the population immune to it! (unless it mutates to get them too lol).

don't you just want to hug it? whee

it's like a slightly fuzzy... well, nothing we have today lol. maybe if you stuck some fur to a... no I can't think of anything. actually on second thought it's quite ugly lol.
My Opinion on evolution? Hm. Well, I kind of believe in it. I believe there was a primitive form of human, just how primitive I am not to certain. But proof of evolution is everywhere, bugs becoming immune to pesticides (Which is why you cannot use the same one for too long). And that is only one thing. Take a look at one species of animal taken a different years and you just might find a few changes.

Well basiclly the tittle says it all
Any ways like Charles Darwin I am a Religious man( well kindof) who also believes in evolution i read his book and watched any program that has him envolved on it. I also have talked about him to other people who think of him as a great man who had a very good idea....yet sadly due to the Christian church (btw not a Christian) other ppl think that this a retarted theroy yet they do not understand that Evolution never says that there isn't a higher power that causes us to well evolve.......i would like to hear your guyses opinions on this topic

Sorry i dont believe in evoultion. I believe that God created everythng in 7 days ,according to the Bible, and what God created didn't evolve.
Yes I'm a Christian and proud to be one of trillions to be children of God.

Whether you believe in evolution or not is irrelevant. It's happened, is happening and will continue to happen. We have proof, where is yours?

I'm also a Christian and I believe that evolution has happened. There is so much undeniable proof out there to support it.

Those "7 days" could have been millions of years for all you know. Who says evolution and the Bible can't coexist?

well that is fine.......and just for the record evolution doesn't mean that there isn't a god(s) it just shows that over time things change to better suite their nitches in their enviorment.........also the bible could be right the world could have been created in 7 days well in the eyes of god(s) where ever he/she could be billions and billions of years cor just be a hour in the rhelm inwich god(s) live........also u got to understand that the bible is translated maybe there was a typo or some things where left out cause at that time people didn't have english words for most of the bible which was written in a diffrent language
Alt_Jack thank u for providing a pic of a lystrasaurus also Raa Raa Rasputin u r right the only proof religion has is bibles and scrolls........but whos to say god(s) didn't have a hand in helping alone in evolution but if there really was one y isn't he?she reveal themselves to us

That's the thing, my friend, there has been no reason to rule out god just yet (although there is practically no proof for it, the evidence of absence, yadda yadda.) and if you want to believe that, you're more then welcome to. There are many famous advocates of evolution that are christian, like Ken Miller or Richard G. Colling for instance.

The issue, however, with people like Lsuboymatt is that they are willing to deny (or grossly misinterpret the meaning of, or the validity of) any scientific theory, regardless of how reputable or demonstrable they may be, in favor of their most cherished delusions, for which they have no proof. They think the bible is literal, that the earth is merely 6000 years old, that Noah actually put every species of animal on his boat, etc. It's absolute nonsense, and there is so much scientific evidence mounted against that sort of position, but there is no way to convince them otherwise, because they've already made up their mind.

You'd figure that if god made life, he would also be responsible for evolution, which, to me, would be a much more impressive feat then just poofing everything into existence by wiggling his nose and saying "ABRAKADABRA~"

It's always fun to say I don't believe in evolution, since everyone now days is promoting the hell out of it as being true.

I honestly don't believe it either.

Take, for example, a hammerhead shark. Why, or how, would it have a head shaped like that? What's it's common ancestor? Why aren't any other sharks like that?

The answer is it did not evolve. God made hammerheads the way they are.

LOL@the world creating itself.

actually that is evolution u see hammerhead sharks usually eat fish that are hidden under the sand and they use their odd shaped heads to detect the fishes electrical pulses that they make when they make the slitus movement such as a heart beatting and the head is desinged to detect the smalles ammount of electricle puls that and there are sensores on the sharks head that goes from the eyes all the way down to the middle of the head so that it can detect the slightest change in watter pressure helping it find the food that it eats......the reason that other sharks do not have heads like that is because they do not mainly hunt the same food as the other sharks do.......this can also be proven by looking at the sharks teeth all sharks teeth are diffrent for catching diffrent prey.....like a great white has flat and serated large teeth better to grab and hold the hide of a seal while the nurse shark has more needle like teeth to grab slippery fish..........the reason is because if all sharks ate the same food there would be little food to go around.........but hey who is to say god(s) didn't have a hand in their evolution
