I love your avi art.

One of my friends is doing research in bio.

Thanks, my bff got it for me. Sadly, I don't remember who did it cos I didn't commission it. confused

Cool, my fiance is doing research in Bio too. More specifically he's trying to raise colonies of bacteria with altered genes.

I do Straight Physics at University, with Engineering topics as extracurricular work. I'm not sure what I want to get into eventually, but hopefully something to do with jet/rocket engines, nuclear reactors, high power lasers or in general stuff that's bold and interesting.

You should take a Material sciences class. I'm taking the second level of it and we've spent half of the semester on lasers and sometimes we get to blow things up. smile

Ooh material sciences...lasers...cool. I took a bio lab safety class and learned about lasers.

I haven't taken physics yet. I still have to finish taking organic chem with lab (ochem as I call it), biochemistry, and molecular biology.

Yea it was a chemical engineering class I had to take to get my ChemE degree and it counted as an elective for my BME degree. razz Material Science 1 didn't really cover lasers tho. It mostly covered ceramics and failure. Material Science 2 is much more interesting though.

I'm interested in genetics and wow, you're engaged. Congrats!

Genetics is pretty interesting. I'm not sure if he's into it as much as he thought he was though. I think part of it has to do with his PI not being very nice to him though. razz

Thanks! We met in Orgo because he always sat next to me. xp

I would also like to know: Where are you from? Which university do you attend? (if you would like to share) Undergrad or grad?

I also want to meet other science majors that are majoring and minoring or double-majoring. One of my bio major friends is minoring in poli sci and I've heard from a friend about someone who double majors in Bio and Business. I also heard from my friend about a history major who is pre-med.

I've met very few guys from my classes because it's hard to keep in touch with anyone long-term unless if you really want to make the effort to. I'm not ready to date yet, but I would like to meet someone on campus eventually, preferably my age and is a science major although he doesn't have to be one. Dating is not easy, but I know it's possible for us science majors.

I'm from St. Louis. I go to Wash. U. and I'm going to graduate this May (undergrad). Actually, I am double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. My first major was BME but then I took some ChemE classes and really enjoyed them so I decided to try and get a second major in that. razz I'm also doing pre-med but that doesn't really count as a major.

oh my gosh you go to U Dub (University of Washington, right?)...that's so cool. I could have applied there for undergrad, but I didn't want to attend college out of state. I'm from southern California. I just visited Washington last summer. I would like to go to Washington for grad school, but that would be really difficult. I currently attend a UC (Univ of California).

My cousin also attends a UC. He is a senior this year and he's a Chemistry major.

Oh wow...I viewed your profile and you're a Delta Gamma...sorority girl. Cool.

I've found that if you meet someone you really like it's not to hard to manage the time. In my case it was easier cos I was taking Orgo over the summer and I spent like 5 hours in class with him and then we'd study together afterwards. whee

Haha, actually I attend Wash. U. in St. Louis. Although, I've heard good things about the other Wash. U. razz I know a lot of people at USC and UCLA (dunno if those are the ones you go to) and they like it a lot.
