Some thread I posted almost 3 months ago (and completely forgot about) was moved to the Chatterbox. I'm not all that fussed over it since, like I said, I created it almost 3 months ago and have not posted in it since. But I do wonder about the wisdom of moving it.
It quotes an article but it uses that article as the basis of discussion about a particular aspect of science which is entirely relelvant to this forum. Sure it combines the science with popular cult icons like Harry Potter but there's nothing wrong with that.
Apparently it was moved because "Copy and Pasting articles is not allowed on it's own." It should be noted I did make a comment about the article in the OP, I didn't just quote the article and say nothing. And what I said is also substantial. An invisibility cloak without the ability to see out or communicate with the outside world would severely damage its usefulness.
Mods/helpers really need to try to help promote discussion rather than discourage it. This does nothing but discourage me from posting in this forum in the future. Using news and science articles as the primary basis for discussion about science promotes the discussion of science.
